Anet and their "excellent" servers

Yo,

is anyone else experiencing heavy lag?
while doing VQ my whole team started lagging out and a few guys even D/C'ed because of the heavy lag
right now i'm trying SS/LB farm and i'm constantly freezing and lagging out while i have excellent broadband connection

I froze and disconnected yesterday. First time that's happened in a LONG time.

I can't even connect. Been trying for 20 minutes.

i've been playing on 500-750 ping ever since i started back in november 2006

I find I usually get bad lag if my comp had gone to powersave mode and I started GW after reactivating it. A reboot fixes it quick enough.

Have had some lag spikes the last week but not enduring.
Some people in guild experience same, others don't. Even when playing in same team.
Doubt it's A-net servers, maybe it's one of them or there are lots of packets dropping on the route to the server.

D/c'ed last night while mapping. Reconnected but lost all my red dots. Grrrrrrr

First time that has happened in quite a while.

The only time I get bad lag is when i am in a busy town or city and my Fps is like 4 or 3

I only lag when I have something else running on my computer besides Guild Wars.

I haven't disconnected in over a week, but the last time I did occurred while capping elite skills in Nightfall, specifically around the mission Rilohn Refuge.

i got bad lag in RA and HA yesterday.

no real reason either.

No problem whatsoever.

Bad lag for me, too - and I haven't had that in quite a while!

Was there a "stealth" update going on in the background?

have seen no trace of lag since a slight wintersday lag

Hi, got a ping that flows around 300ms all the time and game is fine, tends to get laggy for whole party at random times.

Running on a 4mb Cable connection if that helps.

Overall the game is well playable for me.

rarely have troubles, i do get the ocasional lag spike every once in a blue moon.

when i do have problems with the connection is usually related to:
a)the provider is changing/fixing/updating/etc their servers.
b) my bro is downloading some stuff.

b is more frequent than a :P

You do realize that lag can come from many different sources not just ANet servers.

I'm at 187 ping.

Coloneh is right though. I never had any lag until I moved to TX from the NW. Charter sucks ass, enough to where I can see it being them more often than not seeing as I didn't have any lag before.

Everyone i know that plays from the UK has been having huge lag and disconnects, during the evening AT i had spikes of 4k and disconnects.

I dont think its just GW thats lagging, people have been dropping from vent and getting massive pings, i played a few DotA games and everyone from the UK had huge pings and dropped midgame so perhaps theres a problem with an ISP or two.
