The event schedule is as follows:
Thursday, April 24:
The event begins on Thursday, April 24 2008 Noon Pacific (-7 GMT).
You can replay the Hell's Precipice end mission for a brand new reward.
Birthday Cupcakes begin to drop from creatures.
As an added treat, fireworks displays will start to light up the sky every hour in Lion's Arch, Shing Jea Monastery, Kamadan, and the Great Temple of Balthazar.
Friday, April 25:
Starting at Noon Pacific (-7 GMT), the Boardwalk will re-open in the Shing Jea Monastery.
NPCs will provide access to Rollerbeetle Racing and the Dragon Arena from Lion's Arch, Shing Jea Monastery, Kamadan, and the Great Temple of Balthazar.
Monday, April 28:
Note: Due to an oversight by A.net, 3rd year gifts have been given out earlier because they didn't take the extra day in this year into account.
Starting at 12:01 AM Pacific, third year miniatures will become available. (Remember that birthday gifts are given all year round, so you will receive your gift on the personal birthday (creation date) of each character on your account.)

Which characters can join in with the Event?
Any character can join in this event, as fireworks will be taking place in the 3 major towns of Lion's Arch, Shing Jea Monastery and Kamadan, Jewel of Istan.
You will however need to have Guild Wars: Factions in order to be able to enter the Shing Jea Boardwalk.
You will still be able to join games within the Dragon Arena and Rollerbeetle Racing by speaking to the following NPCs:
- Dragon Arena - Captain Li Sah in the Shing Jea Monastery and from the Great Temple of Balthazar
- Rollerbeetle Racing - Rollerbeetle Trainers in Shing Jea Monastery, Lion's Arch and Kamadan, Jewel of Istan.

My character is not from Cantha, how do I reach Shing Jea Monastery and the Shing Jea Boardwalk?
Canthan born characters start at the Shing Jea Monastery. Characters of other campaigns must travel there first by speaking to First Mate Xiang at the Kaineng Docks. You will end up in Seitung Harbor, travel west through Saoshang Trail and Linnok Courtyard.
To access the Boardwalk, talk to the Monastery Keeper NPC at Shing Jea Monastery and you will be sent to the festival area. Talk to the Monastery Keeper on the other side of the gate to return to the Monastery.
Where and when will Firework Displays be taking place?
Firework displays will be taking place every hour in Lion's Arch, Shing Jea Monastery, Kamadan, Jewel of Istan, and the Great Temple of Balthazar.

Event Collectable Item: Birthday Cupcake:
Collectable item: has only one use. Birthday Cupcake gives you +100 maxiumum health, +10 maximum energy and 25% increased movement speed for 10 minutes.
Where can I get them?
- Random drops off any monsters in Guild Wars. Therefore they also drop in Pre-Searing Ascalon.
- Zaishen Supply Masters (in exchange for 10 Victory Tokens)
What are they used for?
This item provides the following effects:
- Consuming this item gives you the Birthday Cupcake effect for 10 minutes.
- This item provides 2 points towards the Sweet Tooth title track.

Event Collectable Item - Victory Tokens:
Collectable item:The tokens can be redeemed for a variety of items from Sheng Yi and Seiji, who are located near the Xunlai in the Shing Jea Monastery, or from Zaishen Supply Masters in Lion's Arch, Kamadan, Jewel of Istan and the Great Temple of Balthazar.
Where can I get them?
- Can be obtained by opening a Boardwalk Prize.
- You also receive 3 tokens for a win in the Dragon Arena, as well as winning tokens in Rollerbeetle Races or the Dragon Nest.
What are they used for?
For 10 Victory Tokens you can get:
- Bottle of Rice Wine (Shing Jea Monastery only)
- Red Bean Cake (Shing Jea Monastery only)
- Flask of Firewater
- Crème Brûlée
- Scroll of Adventurer's Insight
- Scroll of Rampager's Insight
- Scroll of Hunter's Insight
- Birthday Cupcake (during Guild Wars Birthday weekend)
Collectors that hand out the prizes will disappear shortly after the end of each event. Victory Tokens that have not been redeemed may be saved and exchanged during the next event when the Shing Jea Boardwalk is reopened.

New End-Game Area - Deldrimor Talisman and New Green Items
There is now a brand new end-game area available to players who complete Hell's Precipice the final mission of the first campaign - Guild Wars: Prophecies.
Upon completing Hell's Precipice all players will receive a single Deldrimor Talisman:
This item can then be exchanged for one of the new green Deldrimor Weapons.
Upon completing Hell's Precipice you will be sent to Droknar's Forge (Explorable) - the end game area. Speak to any of the following NPCs to exchange your Deldrimor Talisman for a Green Deldrimor item:
- Artisan of Death
- Artisan of Illusion
- Artisan of Light
- Artisan of Elements
- Artisan of Spirits
- Artisan of Nature
- Artisan of Shadows
- Artisan of Steel
- Artisan of Scythes
- Artisan of Spears
Otherwise you can speak to Grand Mason Stonecleaver (Weaponsmith) who can create gold versions of these items in exchange for the following:
- 10K
- 10 Deldrimor Steel Ingot
- 10 Steel Ingots
Note:The end-game area is permanent and will remain in place after the anniversary event finishes.
