why would there need to be another big tyrian city, LA is all it needs
Dru Stratas
Yeh LA is all we need, but I know what you mean. The Henge of Denravi is really attractive and pretty, a few of my guildies and myself were talking about this not over a week ago.
So much work has been put into it, you can really see it, its a shame that no one really visits it, but its true, we have no need to go there as we already have LA which is the port city.
It is a shame.

It's because Henge of Denravi is so far away from all the other towns.
Also, Lions Arch (and Kamadan, Kaineng) is a place to get quests to get into other campaigns.
Shing Jea is Factions starting area, same with Kamadan and Nightfall. Kaineng is the factions main town so I guess people go there for stuff.
Nothing useful in HoD, except for +5e sword, but that got nerfed

I think they should include the Henge then when party festivites go on, it will prevent some of the lag that happens when in the other main citys.

Wrong section, lame idea, /notsigned.

i for one think they should close up the runing stuff and force people to do the missions but i know that will never fly.

There is also Rata Sum souh of there that has more to it and if only they would bring back the old HoD Sword. It is basically a role playing area now.
^They could add the maxed armour that Droks has to HoD as well.Who wants to waste their gold on that armour?

Someone consistently contacting me insinuating that he should meet me face to face. The indidivdual wouldn't give up. I reregistered my username and filed charges with thecops. I feel everything will be good for now. My friends know who I was, for all others you will now discover the new me.
i need to try to keep it cheerful so try to post anything funny in thisforum post. I'll go first, this quiz makes me feel good

I like the idea. There are some other cities that I think should be used. How's the Kodash Bazaar? A beautiful city, with a lot of work involved. It isn't quite as empty as the Henge of Denravi, but I think it should be included in the festivals.

Prophecies is the only Campaign without challenges.
- Factions has 5 challenges.
- Nightfall has 3.
- Eye of the North has 1, plus some minigames that somehow work like challenges.
So, as far as I can tell, the best use for those 'lost' outposts would be to turn them into Challenge outposts.
4 of them would do.
One were Lion's Arch arena was, one were Denravi arena was, one for the Desert Arena and one were Fire Isles arena was.
Challenges would be the best option by far.

Bergen Hot Springs/Nebo Terrace -> Cursed Lands -> The Black Curtain -> Talmark Wilderness -> Tears of the Fallen -> Stingray Strand/Sanctum Cay -> Crystal Desert/Amnoon Oasis
So, really, there's no real reason to go there....

The popularity of Henge died as soon as people realized you could run to Sanctum and skip the entire jungle.

Dr Strangelove
This belongs in Sardelac with the other lame suggestions.

I've mentioned the need for decentralisation from the three "port" cities before.
It is already a hassle moving between continents in normal times, during events, its quite a pain unless that is your final destination.
I guess it's representative of real world capitals and their gridlock.

I'll lol if HoD is in GW2..................and is still useless.

I agree that The Henge of Denravi is pretty mutch forgotten nowdays.
It's a shame, since it's a beautiful place and Huge! The remains of the Giant tree, would be perfect for a stage/shrine ect.
The Huge water area with a waterfall and fountain.
Still, like the others say. It's a to remote location and has been loosing it's charm obviously since it's Alot easier to get to LA and it's a more central point in Tyria.

I remember I didn't even know who "Councilor Markis" was, let alone why being a white mantle infiltrator was a bad thing.

You posted in the wrong place.
And none of your ideas would succeed in making HoD a more useful place to go.

While this thread may belong in Sardelacs, I do think it would be a good idea to make the area more useful. It is a beautiful town and since it is more difficult to get to than LA, ANet should add something there to make it worth going to and revisiting. With such a large chunk of Prophesies being in the jungle, there should be enough quests you get from there to make doing the jungle missions worthwhile. Also, with it's closeness to Asuran territory, I think there should be at least one wandering/lost/rogue Asuran there to give a few quests.
EDIT: One good way to force people to do the Jungle quests would be to have Simon the Scribe show up there and give a quest that would require you to find some monuments in each of the missions to get a good weapon/offhand ala The Cities of Ascalon quest.

A major problem with HoD is that the storage locations are all poorly placed, they are all hidden and on the opposite sides from the NPCs making it a poor place to go to if u are just trying to merch something off or use one of the other vending NPCs.
Deathly_Overlord
The same can be said for other cities throughout the game, such as the Bone Palace or Cavalon, some cities are just underpopulated. Its probably because the other cities are near the travel button, people obviously prefer moving the mouse less...
