Why is it only destroyer weps can be dedicated?

I'm really wondering why they made it so only destroyer weps can be dedicated

I am too, I really want to add some of the other greens and golds like pyroclastic axe, greater guardian spear, and the new deldrimor weapons.

Because they are the exclusive weapons to eotn which is the expansion which will give us rewards in GW2. If Anet said Tormented weapons were the weapons added to the HoM then it would force people to buy nightfall. And I don't think people would want to buy 11 tormented weapons to fill their HoM + customize them.

Covah to be honest i don't like the looks of the destroyer weapons 2 i would love to put some of my custom weapons on display in the hom of my main now i have to go through the pain of buying 11 weapons i will never use cause i don't like em

I'd love to be able to dedicate a few swords there. The destroyer sword is hardly nice. The elemental sword is beautiful and the new end game greens would fit perfectly as something to be a true testimony to my dedication of saving the world.

Ya, in honesty i dont really like any of the destroyer weapons save maybe the spear (since thats the only one i have ). But its what Anet wants and what Anet wants Anet gets.

The end-game weapons for EotN are exclusive to the expansion. Letting Tormented weapons get displayed wouldn't force anyone to buy Nightfall, lots of people already have the game and some might only have Nightfall+EotN, even.

I was bummed when I figured we couldn't add greens, but having Destroyer weapon only displays probably has something to do with the GW2 story, seeing how the Great Destroyer was a general to one of the dragons.
