Hello =)
Im new to Guild Wars and been playing for 2 weeks, think im doing pretty good but have some nooby questions and this is one:

If you spend Blathazar Factions is it erased from the maximum?

Like if i have 8000 Factions and i spend 5000 on stuff does it still say 8,000/10,000 or since i spent it 3,000/10,000

O yah and how much does it cost for Elite Skills and are all elite skills available to buy?

THANKS!!!

Yes it gets reduced every time you buy something, the amount you have, and you can raise the total amount of balth faction you can have at one time through progressing through various PvP-based titles.

Regular skills cost 1k each, Elites cost 3k each and yes, all elites are available to buy. [If you have the correct campaign]

Yes, all Non-PvE elite skills are available through the priests of Balthazar, but only at the high level PvP areas.

Non elite skills: 1,000 Balthazar Faction
Elite skills: 3,000 Balthazar Faction

Items: 500-2,000 (someone check) Balthazar Faction

You can only buy the skills corresponding to your campaign and core skills. For instance, you can unlock Dragon Slash if you have Factions, but you cannot unlock it if you only have Prophecies. But since you have Prophecies, you can unlock, say, Hundred Blades instead of Dragon Slash on Factions.

Balthazar Faction will be deducted from your total Balthazar Faction points. However, if you put your mouse on the Balthazar Faction bar, you can view your maximum amount.

Since you're new, I suggest you look up some builds on pvxwiki.com, use gw.gamewikis.org for reference, check out the Campfire for tips, and go to Gladiator Arena for some PvP tips.

AND REMEMBER THE RULE:

Never have these two skills together: Echo, Mending.

At that one Blathazar Place i go to on the ship can i buy all elite skills from All Campains I Have Availible? Or are their different places for each campain

So theres no realy CAP just a maximum u can have in there temeperarily rite. If i have 9k then spend 9k then get 9k more and spend it i will never get capped rite. Thanks!

"Echo mending" is a joke. Don't take any references to it seriously. For the record Mending is often considered a 'noob spell' (as it often used in low-level areas) that gains absolutely no benefit from being Echo'd (other than the waste of an Elite slot).

On the other hand I do advocate the use of Arcane Echoing Mending if your entering an area with multiple interrupts, especially Distracting Shot. That way if your original Mending gets interrupted then you can still cast the copy of it providing you echo it before battle

Okay thanks guys
I understand that there are no caps correct

Like I could have 9000 then spend 9000 then gain 9000 more so the 10,000 balthazar limit means nothing CORRECT? So no cap?

And is Balthazar the ONLY place to buy all elite skills if i have all 3 expansions or are there different places to buy elite skills in every expansion???

Thanks

if you don't want to use balthazar faction to get the elite skills you could use a signet of capture. so you would find the boss that carries the elite skill that you want to cap then kill it and use your signet of capture and get the elite or you can use elite skill tome.

Um okay but do i go to the same place to buy elite skills from all 3 expansions or different places in each expansion?

You can't buy elite skills from them, you unlock them for use on Heroes, PvP characters, and to get them through Elite Tomes.

But yes, each Priest of Balthazar in high level PvP areas [Battle Isles] have all skills to unlock.

You spend the faction (ie, if you had 9,000/10,000 and spent all 9,000, then you're down to 0/10,000)

Also, you don't buy the skills, you unlock them. If it's unlocked, all PvP characters can use it, but your PvE characters cannot. For them, they must either go to a skill trainer (non-elite skills only) or use a tome (either non-elite or elite only, depending on tome).

The displayed amount is how much you currently have (available to spend). If you would like to see how much you have accumulated ever since the grand beginning (2+ weeks ago), you can simply hover your mouse over the Balth Faction bar.

yeah just remember, balthazar faction UNLOCKS skills for pvp and heroes. It doesn't unlock them on your pve character. You still need to use tomes or the skill trainer to actually learn them on your pve character.

O What?? So if i spend factions on them i can only use them for PVP not PVE. So Signet Of Capture would be the best wat to get them on PVE charicter??

If you are trying to get elite skills for a pve character, you MUST get them by using a signet of capture and killing the boss, or you can use an Elite Tome on a previously unlocked elite skill. The same goes for regular skills. The skill may be unlocked, but if the character is pve, that character needs to purchase the skill with gold in game in order to use the skill.

PvP-only characters on the other hand, have all unlocked skills available to use, but is only limited to playing pvp.

Unlocking skills via Balthazar faction only unlocks skills for pvp only characters and heros. It also unlocks the regular skills in case you want to purchase the skills from a skill trainer.

For example, in Prophecies, Conjure Lightning (or was it Frost?) isnt available until the final skill trader at the end of the game. If the skill is unlocked with a previous character, this skill will be available to all characters to purchase from the very first skill trader.
