Dual Attunement and Heros

Did you know, or its just my game, that ele heros will not use dual attunement unless you "force" them to? they will only use earth/air/fire/water attunement and not elemental attunement.

monk heros will not use divine boon, if you don't force them to?

Typically Attunements and heros havent been the best match unfortunately. I have found that finding other emgmt much better off than trying to get those boogers to use attunes well. Typically i go glyph and dependent on what else is on the bar, I may have glowing gaze and other such skills. Of course Mind Blast is great emgmt and they have a hard time messing that up

my ele heros use em both. sometimes they dont upkeep it at all times but they manage it well for me.

Sometimes they keep casting without attunement even if the skill is charged.

Try to get Olias to use SS on a consistent basis. There are times he'll cast every other skill on his bar and totally ignore it. Sometimes when I try to force him to cast it he'll just stand there...almost saying "I know when to cast this spell and now is not the time. Yes you have three assassins balled up on you, but I dont think SS will work very well in this situation."

I've noticed that ele heroes don't really use any attunements all that well, but especially Elemantal Attunement. They will always wait until their attunement has run out before re-casting it, frequently casting several other spells before doing so. They tend to use Elemental Attunement at random like most other spells. You've always got to keep one eye on their attunements to make sure they maintain them.

A good SS Necro does not Olias make. You're better off with MM / MB builds for your Necro Hero.

Yes I've noticed this too.

Similarly, my Talkora with a signet smite build and only one spell sometimes wont maintain Mantra of Inscriptions.

Glyph of Lesser Energy... its the only answer... dont waste a elite slot with elemental attument... if you spread skill in many lines, earth, fire, air you doing something wrong...

P.S. if you play alone with Her/hen in 95% of the areas you find eve or another necro with blood ritual...

My smite monk ever use divine boon, i put a Glyph of Lesser Energy and eve or another necro hench with blood ritual let the energy up...

When heroes 1st came out I gave the ele heroes Fire attunment & Elemental attunment & noticed that they kept Fire attunment on at all times but only used Elemental attunment when they started fighting. Don't know if that's changed since I haven't used that build in over a yr.

If heroes aren't moving and there's no combat, they will cast either attunement when it's down. The trouble is they don't prioritize putting them back up in combat. You have to manually click/keypress if you want to be efficient about it.

if you really are having a hard time with em just macro the skill number to your keyboard

I used to run Dual Attunements on my hero but I changed to Dual Glyphs and they work fine.

hehehe, erm, not having trouble with heros at all (i click their skills for them if they don't use it, I can even use steam effective with vekk to blind enemies, just means more clickings), this was an observation of how the heros use their skills in my game, actually. And am interested to know if its only my game that's like that or thats how the heros work with everyone else.

and did you know, on different profession characters in my same account, thalkora who does not know how to use divine boon with my elementalist characters, have no problem keeping up divine boon when she's with my necro character, her divine boon is always up, with my ranger character, the very first time you go out an explorable area, if you click Divine Boon for tahlkora, she will use it, but if I forget to do the first click, it won't be up.
