Collector's Editions in PlayNC Store

No don't get that excited, it's not Prophecies....

However, they are offering "Rare" CE's of Nightfall and Factions in the online store now. Which makes me wonder if any Prophecies CEs will ever turn up.

I cannot back this up, as it was a conversation with someone who was manning an NCSoft stand at "Collectormania" (an autograph convention thing in Milton Keynes). But he told me that they still have Prophecies CEs in a warehouse in Germany. He was probably just winding me up though. ;-)

Kinda gives the lie to the "They'll never go on sale again" mantra though doesn't it? Not that either of the above are "rare", I've seen both in stores pretty much ever since they came out.

Anyway, if people want to grab a cheap CE, these are only 20 quid now as opposed to £45 on the high street.

It has the Divine Aura though, something which as been asked for a huge amount of times as a separate release, and always refuted with a "if you weren't there when it was released I'm afraid it's too bad" answer - ie; CE extras are something extra for people who 'had enough faith in the product to fork out twice as much' or 'were there at the time' etc.

For the record, no I don't have the first CE with the DA, and I'm not bothered if they don't put it up. But I'd probably buy it if they did. If I did have it, it wouldn't bother me if other people had access to it, I have both of the others and couldn't care less if more people can get a Kuunie or a funky dance.

feh, the Special edition should of had something in-game other than free unlocks (which arent really worth it, since you would only start PvP when you get abit better, and by then getting Balth faction should be too hard ;P)

Thats the special edition i think, gave a few nomral unlocks and an elite skill too.

Good luck with that, Unused ones are rarer than hen's teeth, and if you buy a used one you won't be able to add the key to an existing account.

I haven't seen one going for less than this for a while.

the collectors Edition came with a Headset, the soundtrack, the art book pt.1, and the aura.
Special edition came with the art book pt.2, the soundtrack, and some free unlocks.

its 151.26 pounds with current exchange rate. worth it really

Factions/NF collectors are all over ebay for about $60... no rush.

Only for a used one. Double that for the unused it depends if you want it for the DA for an existing character. I'd love for my ele to have it if I could but there's no way I'll spend £300 for it and I'll never re-roll her after all this time.

Buying a used key breaks the EULA doesn't it?

if your buying it for the collectors art etc i doubt it does

Fairynuff. Though it might be cheaper to get the SE if the art books are the same, no idea if they are. I have the SE and it's a small book, not like the Factions and Nightfall art books, but still quite a lot in it.

How much was it worth on launch btw?

So... Can you only get the sexy hands by having the original Proph. Collectors edition? Or is there another way to acquire them?
