I know, I did search already and saw the loads of threads about second accounts and whatnot, but I couldn't find the exact answers I'm looking for, so sorry for beating a dead horse.

My friend owns GW and all of the expansion packs, and I'd like to borrow the game from him to try it out since he's not currently playing. Knowing how it is with accounts as a longtime Diablo 2 player I'm a bit loathe to mess around with his (and it's against EULA, blah blah), but as far as I understand it's impossible to make a second account unless you buy a second copy of the game?

To make a second account and play not just GW, but all the expansion material as well I would need to buy another key for each of the games? Or can you create a second account with an expansion access key and use that to play through all of the material?

Basically, I'd like to know if I can play GW and all of the expansions without buying the game or using my friends account, but using his access keys to create a second one. If that's allowed. As a D2 player who had a crapload of accounts that seems like an honest question, but from what I'm reading NCsoft isn't quite as generous as Blizzard.

Damn, that's lame. :/ Thanks for the replies though.

Is there maybe a discount pack for buying a access keys for the games? In case I like them it seems like a ripoff to pay full price even though I'm just buying a key and not boxes or download bandwidth.

Just ask your friend for his login information and use his account. You said he no longer plays anyway. As long as you don't sell all his stuff, it shouldn't be a problem.

The "lack of generosity" might be due to the "lack of monthly fee income". When your profit comes from the sale of server access keys, you cannot afford to throw the profit away.

You can get prophecies for $10 so it isn't a big loss if you don't like it.
