It's just a 8800GTS with sum better clocks. Its one of the better single cards on the market atm. But it'll be a good choice, but u can also wait for the ATi 4xxx serie.

To be honest, the 9800 series is short lived, the 9900GT/GTX/GX2 is coming out soon.

I'll agree with that, IMO you should just if you don't already stick to a 8800 gts or equivalent. You really don't need that much power unless your the kind of person that wants to say "Oh yeah I play Crysis dx10 very high settings at 60fps" not saying you'll get 60fps but you get the point.

Don't buy one now. Wait till nicer 9000-series cards come out.

I'm thinking about buying a PC with one in it, because I want a darn good gaming rig, and for the price of 1,400 with shipping it;s better to know

however this PC only has 3GB of memory. but thats 1000S times better then my current 512mb

Go for it, someone like you will be satisfied with the gaming power regardless.

It doesn't help that they are basicly stepped up chips from the 8xxx Nvidia series and not anything truely new.

Still, it'll fly, but I'd hold out for the new ATI card, then see what prices do on these things.
