I'm just curious if anyone finished it out there and has a screen shot. I'm even more interested if you did it before Ursan's Blessing, I'd love to see that. I've never actually did DoA, but want to eventually.

I cleared DoA HM many times prior to Ursan, doubt i have screens though. I'm sure lots of others did too however.

I tried DoA on the day it came out, failed a couple times and haven't zoned into the outpost since.

The only way I would ever be able to do this mission is with an Ursan team. It says on Wiki at least rank 6+ in lb and norn.

I've done HM four area runs in DoA heaps of times before Ursan come out, but that was with the old tank n spank build.

Christ, DoA fails, never do it. I did it just to get my vanquisher of DoA thingy in my HoM. The groups you get there (unless you KNOW someone) are utterly worthless. Heres my DoA annoyed story.
3 monks, 5 ursan, im a monk
monk a goes afk, then eventually leaves, we carry on
monk b goes afk, then says sorry, with 5 minutes left, 5!!!!!!!
monk c (me) wants to shoot myself in the face as the 5 ursans continue to aggro everything like theres 3 monks. 27 casts of rebirth later, we finish the zone and they ask if we should go to the next zone. I leave.

The above happens more than you like, but at least you finished the zone. Used to be that you had next to no hope getting a group unless you could tank and spank and the associated support (bonders, necros) or went guild group. Otherwise, you were guarenteed that any pug that started would get pwned about 2 minutes in and the QQing would start.

Use the famine ranger, 600, smiter build. Can do most parts in hm and yields more drops.

I particularly enjoy the ursan who says he has consumables, only to find out 30 minutes later that I was the only one to bring consumables - the others lied so they could find a group. I did it twice in NM..im never going again.

Like most elite mission areas, it's fine if you have a group of experienced, trustworthy players. And it's usually epic fail with a PUG.

Tried it for fun on the day DOA was introduced, never been there after since. (other than to craft hero armor or exchange for torment weapons)

I use to do DoA lots back when it was still the new hotness (back when Titan gems were 100k/ea). Back then the environmental effects were always present. This was before hard mode. I've only been in there a few times since ursan came out and then I think we were in normal mode. Since the gems are so cheap now it really doesn't pay to do a "4-run" like it did before. Man, I miss those 500k guaranteed profit runs!

DoA with Ursan once. It was easy, but the energy drain in City was annoying. The 8 Titans at the end was nice. I finally got an Armbrace which now sits in my vault. I should sell it.

I did foundry and the city the first week when DoA got released, before they adjusted DoA for the masses. Those days were hard and we failed at veil and gloom. Took 8 hours to do one area. Trapper teams were popular for doing veil back then.
DoA nowadays is easy compared to the original version (without ursan and cons). Now we steamroll full run DoA in HM within a few hours.
It may be interesting to do it at least once, so you know what people talk about.

I finished DoA twice on normal, once on both of my 'good' characters, to unlock the monument. I have no intention of ever going there again, much less on HM. The place has no entertainment value for me whatsoever.

Full DoA run in HM takes about two and a half hours. Hardest part is the city cause it drains 2 energy per attack or skill usage. We made it through with little to no problems. and got an assload of gems. I am vanquishing and i do doa only to get elixirs of valor and to sell mini mallyx's ive made a ton of money.

Done many times before ursans in HM when it used to pay well.
Now we do full guild teams quad runs in HM using ursans on a regular basis (1-2 times a week). A guaranteed 24 gems per each full HM run is still worth it even with this economy.

Yes, in both Ursan and non...though I enjoyed the challenge completing it with a non-Ursan group.

Done it in NM a lot of times... but I've never succeeded in a HM run, sadly. All the failed runs were due to people who are afraid of the slightest "challenge" (I use quotation marks because with a decent group it's probably nowhere near hard) and people who ragequitted/AFKed in order to NOT use their cons set.
EDIT: Another HM run failed... oveaggro in Foundry after taking more than 10 minutes to recover from an overspawn of Earth Tormentors in Gloom 'cause two guys couldn't follow calls to save their lives. Meh.

Thank you all for contributing. People have said it has no entertainment value, but to me the entertainment is that it's considered elite, new to me, and end of the game.
The Meth
Lots of people did DoA before PvE skills, but AFAIK it was all lame tank and nuke strategies which take a year and a day to finish the area and are boring as hell. If you really want to do it, ursan is a faster gimmick. DoA gems are worthless now anyways.

To be honest, doing DoA HM with ursan team isn't really worth it. Sure you get double drop rate of gems from the chests. But you need to have a really good team of ursans who know how to chain knock downs and keep a wall up to prevent enemies reaching your backline of 3 HB Monks. Doing Foundry and Stygian Veil are a nightmare if your with unexperienced of chaining these attacks. Save yourself time and stick to NM which is easier, takes less time and requires less concentration.

I did the City once with my famine Ranger when she was in the height of the crashing Stygian Vale gem price wars. How she got Holy Lightbringer; by doing solo, or group, Stygian Vale trapping runs. Oh how I miss those days, I can still remember spamming town trying to sell Stygian Gems at a decent 2k price. Then 1.5k. Then 500g, and eventually pleading with people just to take em off my hands. :-O

Back when it first came out i did a full clear of Stygian Veil with a group of rangers. was one of the most fun times i've ever had in GW, mainly because the whole group was fairly new to it. took us a long time to do but i wasn't bored once. after that i had hopes of other areas but by that time they were starting the whole tank n spank LB (8) groups so i was kinda out of luck.
I still hope to do it some day eventually, as i kinda have an elite mission obsession but looks like it will have to be with Ursan sadly.

I have done DoA in every way you can think of (had success with some odd builds and have had some not so successful attempts)
pre ursan HM doa was something I never liked to do useing the oby tank crap (6 hours in a area is no fun even if 1 hour is all restroom,smoke,drink breaks its still to much time)
the profit back in the day when gems could go for 50-100k was beautitful.
now I will only DoA with ursan or guildie team (no ursan and no cookie cutter builds) the times are still up in the air about which is faster.
I have had 1 and a half hour runs with ursan (useing cons) and I have had 1 and a half hour runs without ursan the only difference is with ursan I can be drunk (in real life) and not have to care about messing up. but without ursan I can not be as drunk and have to focus more on what we are doing.
I would post screens but im on my work comp. when I get home I will search for them.
