I've been in the game since beta, have gotten eleven minis, all white.

My younger daughter started her necro on day one and has gotten three whites. Her only other character was a ranger that she made for Nightfall and got tired of. She opened it the other day just to see if it was holding any gold, and found a present with a Gwen inside. Go figure.

8 characters, been playing since July 2005, never re-rolled a char, all mini's have been white until just recently: two chars each received a Koss minipet (purple). I guess my Kosses can play with the stable of Whiptails ...

I got 1 grape so far. On my mule no less.

I've gotten 2 Fungal Wallows, a Whiptal Devourer, a Hydra, a Jungle Troll, and a Kirin. I feel lucky to only have gotten one repeat.

when i went to one of my m8s house he hadnt been on his account for aaages and we went on he had 5 1st year minis 4 of them were fungal wollows and other one was charr shamen

my first mini I ever got was a gold rurik on my warrior

I logged on today after a long time not playing, I had a birthday present on most of my characters, my warrior got a gold water djinn

I also got a jade armor, fungal wallow and 2-3 other whites i think

My account - 13 slots over 3 yrs, 5k+ hrs (most are getting 2nd) got 1 purple kirin, 1 purple titan, all whites all the time

My friends old acct (prophecies only, 400hrs, also started during beta like mine, 4 chars 2 max) this year I got back to back Beast & Bunny and the usual whites. I use this account for storage, trading, and holidays only.

Oh man, where do I begin? lol

I have 12 character slots, and won't have a second birthday until September. Most of the minis I've obtained are ones I bought. And most in my store are ones that I got duplicates of.

Here is what I got (don't remember exact numbers, and some I got from friends who didn't want them but they're still duplicates, they didn't want them because of the same reason):

Burning titan (first one ever, surprised I got a purple)
Charr Shaman
Siege turtle
Jungle troll
Jade armor
2 Hydras
2 Fungal wallows
*4* Whiptail devourers (grrr, and those were all back-to-back)

So yeah I have the worst luck with minis. Just once I'd like to open a gold or green one...or a good purple (or even white) that I don't have.

If you ask me, if your account gets one mini on a birthday it shouldn't get it again. Now if you buy a pet and then get one as a present it shouldn't count. But you shouldn't be forced to get the same mini like four to five times that you've already gotten on the same account. It's uber annoying and they're hard to sell because they're so common that everyone has them.

I have had the worst luck with presents. Out of 9 characters I got:
3 whiptails
1 wallow
2 hydras
2 jungle trolls
1 titan

2nd years so far
wind rider
fire imp
Djinn (i almost shit my pants when i finally got a gold one)

I have a few more 2nd years coming up soon and a couple of 3rd years. I'm not holding my breath for anything good.

Oh yeah, and my 2nd account has had 3 first years and those were a necrid horseman and yep, you guessed it 2 more of those oh so lovely whiptails.
I swear I'm cursed to get those things.

I have something to add:

In reading all these things, it makes me wonder if people with CE get better minis...same with characters that aren't played as often.

To me, I don't care what color it is as long as I don't have it. I'll take any of them because I love them. But if they're duplicates at least make them something good that I can sell or trade for something good.

Or, better plan, like I said in my previous post, if your account gets one mini it shouldn't get it again as a present (bought ones don't count). That would make everyone happy.

i got about a dozen white minis before i got a mini of rarity [mini gwen <3], then after her my next character in line for a mini got a charr shaman, so hopefully my luck with the gifts is improving
