April 28th, 2008: The day I wanted to detonate a nuclear device in RA.

What the gosh damn bloody hell is going on in there? When did 6000 retards decide to descend on RA like flies to a corpse? I'm trying to run a WoH monk and I'm copping nothing but lip from every single player in my teams. Why? Because conveniently enough I'm getting paired up with people stupider than limestone blocks.
Every team I've come up against KNEW how to effectively deal with a monk - sorry, but I can't deal with a dagger wielding Thunderclap elementalist, backed up by a mesmer with Migraine and a skill bar full of interrupts. I'm sorry I can't deal with 4 Eviscerate warriors swarming on me at once. I'm sorry I can't take the pressure when two assassins are using the same deadly arts/smiting prayers build on me (you all know the one, knockdown spam like a motherbitch).
I applaud these players for having a shred of logic. I especially liked the Thunderclap ele, that was one hell of a monk killer build he had there. On the other hand, I want to strangle everyone that was blaming ME solely for the teams downfall. Never mind the Warriors and Dervishes who thought I'd follow them to heal them when they ran to try and kill the casters hiding at casting range behind their close-combat team mates. Never mind the Elementalists that thought I could save them from 1000 necromancer hexes with Cure Hex alone. It goes on, and on, and on.
Has anyone noticed this recent shit-storm of monk hate, or is it a one-off thing? (Note: I'm not saying I'm an absolutely amazing monk, but I'm sure as hell doing better than 80% of people that go in RA these days. 5 gladiator points a day thank you very much).

I personally think that RA is full of a bunch of 9 year olds who go there to
make fun of other people to make themselves feel better. They are all complaining about you because its probably them who effed it up in the first place. I hate RA kiddies.

Well, RA has always been like that.

Aah, good ol' RA.
I always warn my team at the start: "I am NOT running after you to heal you." (I dont play monk, but rit support, most of the time) Saves me a lot of trouble when they DO decide to run away too far.
I still love RA, it is good for my daily laughs and funny screenshots. But then, I dont take the game too seriously

People who define their self worth around fleeting, arbitrary accomplishments are often not the most stable or mature people on the planet. As such, sporting events, bake offs, and competetive online video gaming tends to attract at least some brittle personalities with serious emotional and social defects who have poor self images and are looking to inflate their egos through either digital success, or, failing that, anonymous threats and harrassment.
When they fail, their sorry mental state causes them to lash out inappropriately at other people and the anonymous nature of the internet soon teaches them that they will never suffer just retribution for their pathetic little hissy fits.
For reference: that ridiculous psycho German kid playing Unreal Tournament who destroys his keyboard and comes a hair's width from blowing an aorta through his eyeball.
Or, to put it another way: people who take video games seriously enough to get angry at losing often have low self esteem and emotional problems. What can you expect out of them other than a childish breakdown?

I do hope your joking G.
You can't use kurzick/luxon skills in random arenas.
And Heal other can't be used on himself...

most people who blame a monk in RA probably never even played a monk in RA before

RA/TA is place where you'll find the worst kind of ppl in game and where you'll find the worst builds in game
E/Mo - mending/healing breeze/rebirth - points in every ele attribute
W/N - full build of necro curse spells(no staff or something, but usual sword/shield combo >_>)
This could go on 4ever but RA/TA is just not worth our time.
It sux and will sux
