Take a screenshot, upload it to imageshack or similar, then post it in Show Your Computer!
If it doesn't have lots of flasy blue lights, graphics of scantily-clad orc-nymphs and steam coming out of vents at the top, nobody's going to care.
Also mention how much RAM, rating of RAM, makes, models, overclockage and other geek fodder.
[addendum] If that's a HP w2207 then it's good. If it's a HP w22 it's crap. Needz moar infoes.

ram is 3GB
It has blue lights, dunno about overclocking, but I bet it does for the price

Sir Chunkalot
im building one with almost those same specs but about $500 cheaper, only difference will be is mine will only be 2.4 ghz quad core and 2 gigs of ram, but i could throw another stick in there

3 x 1GB is a bit daft. I would have gone for either 2 or 4 thus leaving me with matched pairs.
There's no monitor in that rig, so I assume the 22" HP is separate?
Apart from that, it's a pretty decent PC for the price.

Cool - http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...449&CatId=2775 - that's the w2207, so it's fine.
5ms rather than 2ms, but not so important as it used to be. 1000:1 is certainly a plus.

the 600 watts might not be best with the setup. I would change that just incase.

School loaned IBM thinkpad for the win. I cant even turn the volume up or down cause it freezes the game. And i will never be able to beat polymock due to lag.

Should have waited for the 99xx series, but it all goes to show that there is never a right time to buy a new pc

Sorry ty3c, I wasn't putting your system down. I just get annoyed by the "roadmap" that Intel-nVidia-AMD/ATI follow. All these piecemeal improvements in tiny little stages. Just look how many different graphics cards there are out there by nVidia alone. You have one for a month or 2 and it's out of date.
Not that it's really a problem - it's just bragging rights. I'm running a pair of 8800GTX on a QX6700 with 8GB of Corsair's finest. It's "out of date", but you won't see me hurrying to upgrade any time soon

But anyway, # of GHz =/= definitive speed of a CPU. Just like the amount of RAM a video card has doesn't mean it's faster or anything. (Tidbit, RAM is only important if you have a larger resolution, 512 is sufficient for most monitors while 1GB is needed for the 30"s)

If cyberpower sends it to you all in one piece, I will be very surprised.
If there are no complications, it looks like a good machine.

I got it today, also I got it from newegg, it looks perfect, nothing out of place, it was packed like a tank, I had a hard time getting it out of the box.

CD or DVD burner? 4GB USB Flash? 6 foot high pile of floppy disks?
Heh, ignoring the last one, any of those would be a good way to copy over gw.dat.
That is what you're copying over, mirite?

Also, its easier for companies to market 3GB machines, without scaring consumers with the whole 64-bit idea.

I think part of the reason this rig came 100% ok is because I asked for fedex 2day shipping, so it didnt get a big chance to be knocked around too much, it was more like ship out, land here, land here, then land at my house at noon.
