Endgame greens ruin the price of other greens. To me end game greens are like going to walmart to buy groceries, yeah its the same stuff. and its cheaper, but it tastes like crap cause its from walmart. I mean nearly all greens go for like 5k now a days because you can get the perfect staff, axe whatever from end game greens. And if you beat Factions, Nightfall, and GWEN then you have three end game greens. EGGs (ha i acronymed it) screw up the weapons market.
Greens are unique because they are a pain in the ass to get, EGGs are not unique at all, they are Walmart weapons. I know we can't do away with them, but i was wondering if anyone else felt the same way.

Anyways, even if there weren't any "EGG"s, there would be a lot of low-priced greens anyways. It's green farmers and the fact that these greens have been out for months, most of them years, that reduce the price of a specific green, not end game greens.

i agree with blayza
might be better if you could only craft endgame weapons, like they do in prophecies now: 10K, 10 D.steel (which cost about 1K each) and 10 steel
total price: around 22K
these don't ruin the economie, since you gotta be stupid to sell these any cheaper to others
EotN has the same thing with D-weapons (5K + 10 onyx & 10 diamond => total value of around 25K)

EGGs are not the perfect items you might think. For instance the perfect caster staff for the majority of casters would be 20HSR/20HCS 30/30. Most of the endgame caster staves are +10+5e 20 HSR and 60hp. I don't really care for those. I'd rather have the 20/20 HSR/HCS and 60hps. +5 to the already high energy pool of ele's is really nothing compared to HCS every 5 casts average. Same for Necros and Mesmers and any other casters with long cast times. Of course it's always a preference thing, some like it hot some like it cold you'll never get everyone to agree on anything really as far as weapons go that is of any significance.
Monks are the exception, but, I think they give up a lot by taking swords/spears and shields. Best they can get on a sword is +10 HSR and then the +30hp and the +5e. I guess they like that +8 armor from the shield and gawd knows what they add as a buffer with the +30hp I usually put a +10vs slashing or blunt for my heroes though.

end game greens are modded for people that dont have any idea how to mod weapons to the spec that you need and are for an easy way to have a max weapon by the end of a campaign, its more aimed at the poor/newbie market.

untill the release of NF, those where one of the only ways of having a +5 energy weapons (after the denravi sword got removed out of the game)
maybe reskin those, make them inscriptable and a bit more expensive?

Seriously though, what else would be a proper reward? Most of the time end dungeon chests give sucky skins/mods and being able to craft elite armor isn't exactly much of a reward either.
