Windows XP Service Pack 3 now on Windows Update
Admael
Thanks, I was looking for a direct link.

Personally, I have been running SP3 RC2 for weeks now. It is flawless, and has improved overall stablity and speed by at least 5-15%, sometimes near 25-30%. I have seen my average FPS with v-sync disabled in Guild Wars jump from 150FPS to 175FPS+. That is significant in my opinion. You should download it, it is a great update (despite the security updates being rather mundane)

I just want to know why the SP posted here is 300mb and the one on the micro soft update centre is only 66mb?

Probably because the one posted here is a "Full" download, and when you download from update it doesn't bother with the parts you have already downloaded as previous updates.

Well im liking the SP3 so far. XP looks a little crispier so far. Know more later on with its performance.

Using it since this morning and I can indeed feel a 5-10% perf increase on a low-spec comp. And FIPS 140-compliant crypto is nice!

I think there a few more tweaks to SP3 then just security. And yes, FIPS140 is VERY nice. Lovin it. I managed to get all my shell modifiers back in under the SP3 upgrade, and so my PC is back to wolf in sheep's clothing (aka looks like Vista but is really XP SP3)
I yanked out most of my HDDs from this system and built a new file server for myself using older parts. Got SP3 on that as well, it's running very smoothly. I might switch it over to MS Server OS, but I am not sure.
The load times under SP3 are a bit slower heading from login screen to actual desktop, but after that, it is noticeably faster in most applications. Is it me, or did HDD to HDD transfer rates get a noticeable boost as well? What would have taken me about 6 minutes of transfer normally took about 4. Could just be a fluke, I didn't read the white pages of the SP3 release very carefully.
Ah, check out my new desktop screenie for my Vista mods after SP3 installed. They are working better for some eerie reason.... I am going to try and figure our why... maybe MSFT did some shell/GUI optimization they didn't mention? I can't figure out why, but my shell modifications are smoother, and I managed to get it to fully duplicate Aero GUI (at least as far as I can see, even dark glass is finally working)
Check it out: (Warning, full scaled image is 1920x1200, dialup and low end DSL users have been warned! If your PC cannot handle Hi-Def images/video, you may cause a significant slowdown by fullsizing the thumbnail below)

For those who want their custom themes back, check out the Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) UXTheme Patch.
Putting this in the OP so people can find it easier.
