I think the OP means if he accidentally opens the chest too many times and doesn't have any more invintory space, he has to LEAVE z-chest drops on the ground and lose them perminantly (even if he zones). A merchant would allow people to use hundreds of chests at once and ID, salvage, and sell the junk ones right there.

And besides... how exactly is this "lazy?" Should the merchants that already exist in explorable areas like in Factions be removed because it's "lazy?" It is the same dang thing.
