Lowest possible reqs for max weapons

We're not going to have a back-and-forth "debate" on whether things still drop that lacks zero evidence aside from a single statement by a PR rep. If you can prove it, great; if you can't, stop posting. The thread is about what exists, not what drops, anyway.

Yes I know what you mean. The only reason why <9 requirements are worth anything is rarity. If you have so much money you don't know what to spend it on, then Req: 7 is the way to go. For eveyone who likes to make every cent count, then the exact same weapon only 5k-50k as aposed to 100k+50e is always the best option^_^.
But I have personly seen (and taken screenshots) of r7 items.
Ie. Ive seen a r7 15^50 celestial sword. I think a r7 15% -5 somthing or other, mabye brute, or mabye it was daodo sword, doesnt matter.

Not sure if any of you are reading the OP, but we already know req 8's for everything exist, and req 7's for everything but bows, daggers, and wands exist.

I binned a req 7 tyrian 14>50 Scimitar the other day as it was customized for a deleted character. I could have probbaly got a good price for that.

Yeah, you never can know have some r7 dropped after, someone who have just bought nightfall and got r7 max insc from burried treasure and merch'd after? you never know.. most ppl think they havent dropped after, but that cant be confirmed by players

I've been keeping my eyes open for R7 max weapons (any) and I have not seen them for ages. The same is true for other players I'm keeping contact with.
I know they have always been rare and there are other reasons players might not find them. But so far there has been no proof of any recent R7 max weapons, regardless of color.
And I know I'm not the only one here on guru.
In the end we just don't know.
It could be that all the R7's that dropped were merched by new players or players who are unaware of their rarity.
However, that also happened in the past and from that period are known R7's around.
The difference? Less players playing in certain areas with relatively high drop rates of the R7's.
And certain farming spots nerfed that had a relatively high chance of producing them.
Or... they stopped dropping, possible until proven otherwise.

I found a Req8 Shield from a HM chest in Rragar's Menagerie. Maxed offcourse.
It's on Command I think, but I have tp double check that on my heroes.
People keep telling me that it's not possible but I know what I've seen.
I never took a screen when it dropped because I never dropped it would be so important. There were other people in the team when it dropped.

We know req 8 inscribable shields and offhands drop; I have a few.
As far as req 7s go, I don't see why you all would insisting they might drop when no one has seen them drop for a couple of years now.

After all q7 drops in tyria(proph) and cantha,and im pretty sure that there are q7 celestial drops every day cose ppl play that part of the campaign.
Its not about 'lower drop rate',its about how many ppl play campaigns,prophercies is almost dead,of course that ppl rarely get q8 item,and q7 is far more rarer.There are just not enough ppl who would play this 2 campaigns,so there are much more less q7 drops than 2 years ago

Non inscriptions have been depated though, there was a big thread a while ago on it but either way they are definetly rarer.

I'm quite sure req7 still drops. Got a req6 11nrg blue focus in Prophecies 2 months ago or so, so req7 should be still possible for max. items, too. It's just that the parts of Tyria where req7s used to drop quite often aren't that popular anymore. Not many guys playing in the Djungle or the Desert. Easy -> low monster level -> low req drops.
Anyway req7 Celestials still seem to become more common, I see them every day, that's why I think req7 can still drop.

Nope, in no way.
There's no linear tie between base energy value and minimum allowed req. It should be obvious that with Focus energy values ranging from 7-12 (min req >0) the scaling won't be a simple linear 1ene-to-1attrib.
All they did to the reqs in that infamous update was a simple +1!
They changed the minimum allowed req for a max itemlevel from 8 to 9. The base stats of items below max itemlevel aren't hard coded into any table, they're generated by interpolation from a set of parameters, one of which being that number 9, instead of 8 before the update. The effect of this change is smaller and smaller the lower level the items affected are, till point zero.
Oh, and there's NO difference between the algorithms for generating the base item stats between the oldschool and inscribable items. The probability for a say level 19 blue shield to be 16 armor and req.8 is the same, no matter where in the world it dropped.

There was a Summit-Axe req8 inscr. in a German Price Check forum about 2months ago. I don't know if it was fake though. Maybe someone could check the screen?
I asked the guy ingame to show it, offering him 100e, but he told me that he had sold it for 100k+10e in kamadan before. Don't know.

its shopped i think. look at the entire line of the "requires 8 axe" and you can see just a hair of a box shaped end showing on the map. look even closer and you can see it running through the whole line.

Used to find r8 foci quite common, have a few remaining if anyone wants. (prot, death).
