Quest: Fire And Pain

How exactly to do I obtain this quest?

I just completed "The Missing Vanguard" quest, I have the tattered cape from Prophecies in my inventory. I have Gwen in my party. I went to the Hall of Monuments and talked to Gwen, but she doesn't offer it.

Do I travel to Sacnath Valley with Gwen in my party and then I get it, or do I need to complete all of the Vanguard questlines first? Then talk to her in the Hall of Monuments.

If you've completed all three vanguard "missions" (Against the charr, Warband of brothers and Assault on the stronghold) you should be able to do it. The only thing I can think of is go check the pool for the vision then map out and then go back to the HoM and talk to Gwen again. Or even try another item. Red iris flowers are found in the charr areas,and Gwen has a garden just outside as well.

Yep, it is AFTER the "Assault on the StrongHold". Thanks for the help.

The wiki isn't too clear on that point.

I usually wait till I have"Smell of Titan in the Morning" as both are in same spot

and all I do is go in one entrance to cave.kill a few char groups then go round to other entrance and go in killing groups at alter then killing Titan

thus 2 done along with vanguard points when i come out
