its taken me 1 hour to download 15% (5k files)

WHY!!!!!!!!!!!

ive formatted and it had 21k files and it takin so long to get them...

help me plz

it install all files for each campaign with eachdisk?

what about times to load to the cities and that?

Yes, it'll take that long the first time and worth the time invested...

It takes about a half hour to a hour and a half when u re install the game. I've had to do it many times lol. Its more of a pain when u have to load all the places and stuff again.

When you first install the game it has to download all updates to the client first before it will let you run, it also downloads all data for all campaigns. This isn't the end however - when you go to each map the game will download all relevant files for that map, as well as continue to download all files needed for all campaigns.

As stated, using -image will download all files needed for the game - both client based and map based files. This way when you next run the game after doing -image, you won't have to download all these files.

As the game has been out for 3 years, there's been a lot of updates to the game. This is why when you install/re-install the game it has a lot of files to download.
