I must have horrible luck.

I have been running Rragar's Menagerie for about a month now. That's about all I have been doing.

I got about 15 diamonds, 12 onyx, 1 Hidesplitter spear, 3 Hidesplitter shields, countless random golds.

Finally today I got a Dryad Bow. Of course my luck dictates that it comes out as a r13. Why must Rragar hate me so? Oh well. I prefer Marksmanship builds anyway so I guess I will have to make due. I'm sick of the run to Rragar and mostly I hate the dual flesheater spawn inside the dungeon.

I am glad that I can get the Ruby Djinn Polymock from other dungeons. I'm sick of the Menagerie.

Anyone else have luck like that? Just tons of runs to get the item you want?

I definitely know how you feel. I kept trying to get the other new skins and i always get crap. The only difference is i never got it. o.0 You should just be glad that you got the bow you wanted.

I had a friend that was trying to get Robah's Axe back when NF was (fairly) new and he made something like 140 runs before it dropped for him.

I have given up on getting drop items that I want, I never get them, even after over 200 runs, I never get the stuff, especially for greens *which I now hate because I only get those that are crap or that I don't want*. I try to just stick to BMP/crafter weapons now, too annoying for me to farm for stuff I want, I just get good things from not wanting them during a vanquish or run to get whatever I am doing done.

Just the luck of the draw my friend, you could probably get quite a bit still for that bow. Put that money aside and the money from all those runs + that bow might be enough to buy a lower req one!

I've been doing countless runs through Frostmaws in the hopes that i get a Silverwing bow but after about 50 runs so far all i've had was crap. Be thankfull you managed to get your bow drop...

Don't get me wrong. I'm glad to have finally gotten the bow even as an r13.

I was just wondering if my type of luck was the most common for a dungeon run or if I was just spectacularly unlucky. When the skins were first released I saw posts of people who got the items in less than a few HOURS. Then when I try for one it takes me about a month to get.

Apparently I'm not alone in the bad luck department. At least I don't have to keep running through 2 zones, then run the 3 levels of the dungeon and deal with the most annoying of Flesheater spawns anymore.

I must admit. I'm also glad that I think the silverwing bow is hideous because I hated Frostmaw's dungeon and to do that one multiple times would aggravate me to no end.

Its a rare skin because its a rare drop!

Its not bad luck, its the way its designed to be.

But I also haven't EVER got a weapon I wanted by farming it =]

I remember I was doing Cathedral of Flames when it first came out. Me and friend were running with 3 heroes each. We were right before the boss battle and we went to check wiki to see what we could get, and i was like "man i want that axe". Lo and behold I got me my axe, first trip though. w00t.

Usually I have terrible luck. I probably did about a dozen Raven's Point runs for that Destructive Shield. No luck. I finally gave up.

Surprised anyone wanted the destructive shield ><...

at any rate, I have never had a good drop, regardless of the amount of farming or runs I do... yet I still eventually make money which allows me to get whatever I am really looking for.

Hard Mode makes a good difference in my experience both in the drop rate of rare skins and the quality of the drops when you get em.

Rrargar's is a tad rough in hard mode though so I'm not sure I'd bother. You could probably do 2-3 runs at least NM before geting one solid HM run through. Without cons that is. If you were a full party with cons and all that it's different.

i've done 32 Kathandrax runs, at least 30 Menagerie. I've only seen 1 emerald blade, and 1 dryad, neither for me. Talk about bad luck!

I got run through Catacombs of Kathandrax (paid 15k for it) got an r13 emerald blade my first time through. Didn't realize how rare it was and sold it to runner for 100k. On subsequent runs, saw another r11 emerald blade fall (not for me though) but at 15k a pop, can't afford to keep doing this. Luckily running CoF or doing Raptor farm pays well!!!

If you keep farming and saved your money from the runs, eventually you'll make enough to buy one yourself if it doesn't drop for you. Now if you were randomly spending all that money you made in the past runs, you are no where closer than you could have been.
