Best use of little time?
hallomik
These days, I'm finding it hard to scrape together a nice amount of time to play.
If you don't have enough time to play even one full mission, much less an elite area, what sorts of activities do you do? I find myself coming back to a favorite farming spot I can complete in 15 minutes.

I have the same problem, quit high-end pvp because of that.
What I'm doing now is mainly occasional pvp ( RA, AB ) and pve grind ( Titles and Ectos ).

Don't have time for even one full mission? I don't think I've managed to spend more than an hour to complete any missions - not including time in missions I've H/H'd where there's no pressure to go really fast (no time limits, Leeroys that you have to follow, or defending from waves of mobs coming at you), giving me time to take breaks to eat, go to the can, read Guru, and otherwise refresh my brain and give my fingers a rest.
Admittedly, I've only finished Prophecies & EotN, and only just passed Nahpui Quarter (took 44:16 with H/H - and I didn't have much time to rest 'cos of the respawning critters. Might've gone a bit quicker, but I got lost trying to find the path to the 3rd boss ) in Factions, so perhaps the later missions get far longer in the later bits of Factions & Nightfall?

Most missions are <1 hour, even in HM, excluding some prophecies ones *cough* Riverside
Dr Strangelove
Farm the Master of Damage.
Darkobra
Nothing. If I don't have the time to do even one mission in GW, it means I have more important things to be doing.
Shayne Hawke
If I have less than an hour, I don't play. I either merchant stuff I have, or I watch PvP battles.

Well missions don't normally take me an hour, 20-40 minutes sounds right in my head. So I normally have time to relax and get some. But lets say I have less than 30 minutes.
Farm.
XP grind on a low level character.
gather intel on any upcoming gw events or guild events.
trade.
Grind a few title points in Gwen.
other things that escape my mind.

Most quests take about 10 minutes and are somewhat amusing to do.
angmar_nite
Dwarf point farm, observe, or power trade.

Only got 15-20 minutes to do something on Guild Wars?
Go kill random enemies and collect drops to convert into merchant sold gold. Nothing says fun like killing stuff.

10 minutes is too little to get anything done. Better give the game some more priority in your time planning or quit it at all.

15 mins....that's about 5k kurzick faction using hfff, or one elite capped....I know they advertised the game as one that you can pick-up and go back back to any time you want, but you'd probably be better-off using those 15 mins for something else and having a proper session at the weekend.

Hmm ... some suggestions given above would appear to come from very young players who are not used to being responsible for anything else than their own activities, if that.
In my current situation, I may be able to have 2-3 hours of 'own' time per day and that would be plenty if it didn't come in small chunks of maybe 5 minutes at a time. Even worse, it can't be planned in advance. Any time when I start to do something I must accept that it may be necessary to abandon it immediately when I'm needed elsewhere. This reflects on my play in particular ways. Farming runs that take less than 2 minutes are great. If I have to bail out in the middle, there's little effort wasted. Chest running is good as long as it takes no more than a minute to find the next chest. Longer endeavours are possible but only with H+H since they don't mind hanging around while I afk.

If possible leave GW for another time and do the work you'll have to later now. That way, you'll have a bigger time period to play in. If thats not possible, there really isn't much to do. Talk to friends, RA (if you can put up with the idiots), merch stuff, quick farming/chest running, sort stuff out between chars, etc.
EDIT: Admire your chars.
