Guild Recruitment chat channel?

Ok, I and I'm sure a bunch of other people get annoyed by the constant spamming of guild recruiters, with those long messages full of details making it difficult to read general conversations. It would be nice if a Guild Recruitment channel was added, and people that aren't actually interested in looking for a guild can turn the channel off.

Good idea?

Example of the mayhem:

there is not as many people guild recruiting as there are trading also if your in in an arena where most pvp based players will look for guilds. my point being i can't remember

It would be like the trade channel : some (if not all) would still post in the Local Chat channel. Also, the Local Chat channel is dead most of the time...well except in the big towns because it's full of WTS/WTB and guilds advertising.

You already have the option to just turn off local chat...anyway, guild recruiters are only a small part of the annoyance being local chat.

You should blank out their names unless you've gotten permission, in which case, I'm guessing you should note in your post.

+, not signed, many people would just go into local chat, just like people do in trade chat, and sometimes you wanna see it anyways, just to help them out with spelling/grammar or w/e

I tend to lurk in int districts to get what I need done. Less spam, and some actual chat sometimes.

Plus I doubt the air thieves would use it. They would continue to spam because nothing is more important than the lame ass guild they are recruiting for.

I actually agree. Whenever i go to any large place i turn off my trade chat and still am spammed about Guild recruitment and it really makes me mad . So i /yes

this would take out 9/10ths of the invites, and someone might miss an opportunity to join a great new guild that they weren't really looking for, all because they had their chats off.

No reason to be such a douche bag about it. He just was saying it would be a lot better if they could sort out all of the spamming about guilds so that if someone actually wanted to find a guild they could get one without being pressured all the time.

This doesn't warrant its own tab. It may contribute to the crap on local chat but if you noticed, 99% of what's on local chat is crap.

Everyone in the game and on this forum is a smart ass to some degree. So I would say people look "up" to it. People mistake being cool with being jerks.
