why not a 790i with the support of 3 video cards with ddr3?
and 3x Nvidia 9800gx2.....
well its more then enough to play guild wars, 3d mark 06 score will be about 20k+ maybe,
crysis will run good!!!

What do you mean limits?
It can crush Guild Wars, and should be good for years to go.

Hmm.. So what should my average FPS be around?

Average FPS for Guild Wars should be 60+.
I heard the 750i is actually good anyways, and DDR2 is cheap, I wouldn't trash it just because DDR3 is out, DDR2 is still good.

IMO a single 8800gt should be fine and will be fine to work with "GW2" and can play all the lastest high performance games.

One 8800GT is sufficient for basically anything yes, so two..
It will get really solid performance basically, and they can always upgrade the video cards later if they wish, so really it's all a good deal.
Though remember that pretty much any computer struggles with Crysis, so don't think you can pump up everything on very high settings and get super good performance, that won't happen. But all other games will run flawlessly.

fps is going to depend on what resolution you play as well.

If you're primarily concerned about GW2, I imagine a GeForce 7600 will be able to play it okay. MMO's almost always have low system reqs since they rely on broad audience appeal.
I be you could run it adequately on a late 6000-series tbh... That system you mentioned will likely run it with 3 processors tied behind its back...

You'll hit 100+ fps with Vsync off in GW.

The limit is determined by heat. Heat being the problem. Therefore the limit of the comp is "untill it smokes".
