The Point of Concise Skill Desciptions

I turned on concise wording and was working on a couple of builds and found that concise tends to mean more open for interpretation and turned it back to normal so I knew exactly what was meant again.

Nice idea but it didn't work. Not for me in any case.

Let's check up on the definition of concise shall we?

I could get more, since those only used dictionary.com, wiktionary and google definition. Unless few and brief somehow don't mean 'lesser', or 'shorter' than normal, then I can definitely say it does mean small(er) than normal. But that wasn't the point of my post. Instead of making a traditional mode and a concise mode, people wanted one mode, where existing text was streamlined so that there was less RP waffle as in the Prophecies skills (Any Deep Wound skill: inflict a Deep Wound, lowering your target's maximum health by 20%, Sever Artery: begins Bleeding for x seconds, losing health over time, and Rotting Flesh:Target fleshy foe becomes Diseased for x seconds, slowly losing Health., any condition removal: the stupidly long list of conditions it removed)

Eh, tried it a bit and then changed it back to traditional. Never saw the point to it.

Add Other Ally to that (not self targetable), and that's a great list.

Some times it actually takes me longer to read the concise version. I read it and think 'wtf' before turning it back to traditional.

I found concise odd, as well...

...maybe I was thinking differently when I first saw "concise description", but I had something more along these lines in mind:

FGJ!:
Full: For 20 seconds, whenever you gain adrenaline, you gain 100% more.
Concise: (20 sec) ++100% adrenal gain.

Searing Flames:
Full: Target foe and all nearby foes are struck with Searing Flames. Foes already on fire when this skill is cast are struck for 10...82 fire damage. Foes not already on fire begin Burning for 1..6 seconds.
Concise: (Target=Foe+Nearby) Targets ++Burning(1...6 sec). If Burning, ++10...82 fire dmg instead.

RC:
Full: Remove all conditions (Poison, Disease, Blindness, Dazed, Bleeding, Crippled, Burning, Weakness, Cracked Armor, and Deep Wound) from target other ally. For each condition removed, that ally is healed for 10...58 health.
Concise: (Target=other ally) Target --Conditions. Heal ++10...58 per removed.

Phoenix:
Full: A fiery phoenix rises at your location, striking adjacent foes for 7...91 fire damage, and flies out to your target, exploding on impact. This explosion strikes for an additional 15...75 fire damage.
Concise: (Target=Ajacent Foes) ++7...91 fire dmg. (Target=Foe) ++15...75 fire dmg.

...is that so bad? Just taking an idea from simplified combat logs in another game which shan't be mentioned.
