Changing the Requirements for Survivor Title

I agree...If your going to complain then dont get it. And when you said you need all 3 campaigns + Eye of The North to get the "People Know Me" title, you wrong. Just with factions alone you can get it. Here's an example:

4.Rank 2 Life of The Party
5.Rank 7 Source of Wisdom
6.Rank 6 Blessed by Fate
7.Rank 7 Cursed By Fate

10.Rank 12 Legendary Gladiator

I like the idea, actually, if you survived the whole story line, thats the point in my opinion, if your hero have die, "who save tyria/cantha/elona?" by completing the missions and quests in one single campaign without dying, and not by counting the experience. you get legendary prophecies survivors. legendary tyria survivors, legendary elona survivor, if you have all 3 you get and extra one legendary grandmaster survivors.

What I meant by putting People Know Me title as an example is that some titles require more than one campaign to complete. The maxed title - the later ranks which require over 25 maxed ranks must have been created with people owning all 3 chapters as well Eye of the North in mind, meaning having another title requiring all campaigns might not be all that preposterous.

I suppose my main point was that by forcing people to complete all the missions without dying, it would put some meaning into the actual title consisting of more than hitting level 10 and farming Kilroy endlessly. It'd at least demonstrate that whoever has the title is capable of beating all the missions without dying, which would require more precision and skill than farming. Then again, I'm weighing alot of this under the presumption that Anet is not necessarily fond of people farming, which might not be the case seeing all the opportunities they throw at us with repeatable quests and the titles which basically require the players to farm to certain extent to achieve.

Survivor title is the only title in the game that many players never had the chance to accomplish with their main char...cause when it was introduced, their main char had died at least once...

This has already been mentioned in the past, but anet doesn't care to solve this and give "old" players a chance to get it even now...

This is the only fix the title needs from my pov....to make things equal...

And @ OP:

How many titles are left that are really hard to aquire? Protector, Guardian, Vanquisher etc etc can be run. Look at the services section. Enough ppl willing to kill every single monster out there for you. Getting survivor per FFF is buyable too and you picked the "cheap" way to get survivor to complain? Even if is only the Kilroy boxing...you have to do it yourself.

It's up to your personal preference how you want to get your titles. In the end...nobody will care. I find it even more impressive that people come up with foolproof ways to make the titles easier. Whoever found that one out...kudos. Nothing wrong with people trying to achieve things as effective as possible but if you want to spend your time getting the title by doing every quest and mission out there, have fun. We won't stop you.

I got my first legendary survior by doing quests and missions and I am not bragging about it. In fact it saddens me that I wasted so many days.

It's just like 55 farming. Anet never intended to farm or use a monk that way but it happened and it is just as "cheap" als Kilroy surviving. Does it mean you use the Fianna Boon healer or DW healer templates from 2005 + hench or pug to farm cause it is more a ong the lines of Anets intentions on monking (and yes this is a PvP template bla...just an example to show my point)?

Seriously get over it. People are sick of this topic. If you want it the hard way, do it. I repeat: Nobody will care how you got your title. You won't be a "Legendary Superhero" or "Kind of a Bigger Deal".

I like the suggestion: Gaining the title in this way would be a lot more impressive than the current format.

I still think it would be nice for some people who have died to be able to achieve the survivor title. Such as 5mil exp without dying again. I'm going to be stuck trying to get God Amongst Mere Mortals without survivor or legendary defender of ascalon. I'm pretty much forced to grind chests and ID's both.

I personally think that the survivor title should be earned by completing whole primary quest chains per campaign. So if you make it all way through the a campaign's primary quest chain you get it. Each additional campaign primary quest chain adds another level to the rank.

That's an achievement...

i would like to see it possible to get survivor on any character. my character already had many deaths before they came out with survivor. why can't i start from where i am now and try for it, since i'm level 20 maybe they could raise the reqs or something, to make if fair.

The only thing wrong with this title is the fact it was implemented 1 year after I created my character, and was thus enable to acquire it on my main toon. Sure, I could have gotten the title, If I hadn't died in that year playing GW, but who is able to achieve this on their first ever character, without ever knowing there's a title for it?

1. If people do not like that the survivor title can be farmed, then they should simply shun the title altogether and see it not as a form of achievement, but as another crappy title that noobs wear, such as the r6 lightbringer title that the community has completely shunned... or the protector titles.

2. If people don't like the survivor title and it's farmability, then they need to nerf farming altogether. Go and qq about how farming has ruined the economy. gogogogoplz. I'd like to see ANET do anything about that.

3. Once again, it's all about change, and how the community adapts to it... not how the community tries to make it. I see ANET as a huge "super team of deities" (as the Simpsons puts it) looking at the community as a whole rather than individually. They do what's best for themselves, their wage slips, and whatever they can to keep GW running. They're not going to change an aspect of GW for a minority (yes, minority) of people who continue to think of the morals and ethical issues of a flipping video game. The number of people who'd gladly farm the title completely outweighs the number that think it's "morally wrong" or "cheating".

So, please, deal with it. Or go play another game. Because the qq'ing is so freaking unbearable, it's like the time ANET improved monster AI, and people were like, "OMG WTF I CANT SIT AND PRESS 12345 AND GET LOADZ OF GOLD AND MAKE MY CHAR AMAZIN PLZZZZZZ I WANNA QQ".

Yes... I feel that'd put more merit on players' playstyle and strategy over time
spent simply trying to max out another title. In fact, I'd like it better if alot of titles in the game were more oriented towards players' playing style. If Survivor was achievable through completing all the primary quests and missions, it'd be something more natural to come by rather than being another grinding fest. It'd probably boost the number of people found in mission posts too.

55/SS an incredibly fast way to farm exp and such. Same goes for monks with necromancer secondaries. Keep up your enchantments and cast Spiteful Spirit on a bunched up mob and repeat many times.

Just because you don't feel it necessity to try and change some things people could view to be unfit for a game, doesn't mean everybody else needs to confirm to that. I don't really see why you feel the urge to classify people making suggestions to change the game as QQers. If you feel that everyone should simply comply to the way game functions and adopt to it, I would suggest that you deal with how gaming communities function and stop QQing over people who actually give a crap about improving gameplay.

The only change survivor needs, is a way to reset the title so that you can go for r3 if you didnt know about the title when u made you're character. IMO, it should be gain 1337500xp without dying, not with 0 deaths on that character.

Best post on here so far.. if you want the title re- make your character if you dont do that then you obviuosly dont want the title enough
