Lag, err7 on multiple computer setup

I have a multiple computer setup thru a Linksys router, hardwired. During off peak hours we have little lag or d/c issues, but on most occasions, especially busier weekends or during festivals, the lag gets so bad (or there are so many err7s) that we can't play more than one computer at a time.

I guess my question is, is there a bandwidth throughput threshold to a specific IP? It seems almost like the servers are partitioning only so much bandwidth towards my router at any one time, and if I have GW on two or three computers it all goes bang.

I'm at a point that I am thinking of getting a separate cable modem for each computer to avoid this constant lag/err7 nonsense.

Any thoughts?

It might be your ISP limiting you, and not a problem at all with Guild Wars. Try contacting them.

I've had 8 people play Guild Wars through the same router and experienced no lag before. Definitely an ISP issue.

Contention ratios, maybe? That would explain lesser performance during peak times.
