Protector title is broken

Don't waste your time with it right now -it's broken (I hope anet fixes this fast).

The protector title (at least for Nightfall) is now broken for non-Nightfall characters.

My character has adequate sunspear rank, level, and the correct heroes. however when I go to do jokanur diggings or blacktide den the outposts do not turn into missions.

There are no quests available to me on the island (I completed the "Land of heroes" chain as it was the only one available to me.

If anyone can figure out the work around for this, please post as it was an annoying hour figuring out that it was broken.

I'm... sure it's not broken. If the outposts don't turn into missions you might just need to speak with the NPCs that let you enter the mission. Should do the trick. To find out who those are, check out the primary quests at gw.gamewikis.org.

I'll check this out later, but I believe there's a trick to getting these to show up.

You may simply have to talk to the guy who gives you the mission.

There are no quests: I've talked to every guy on the island just about.
I've done every quest I can and talked to all the "guys that give the missions."

maybe you have Sunspears in Kryta or Cantha in your quest log (as per Guild Wiki stating you can't enter if those are in your log)

both places shown up fine for me, and this is the first time I've been to them on my ritualist.

You must complete Sunspears in Kryta/Cantha by yourself. If you were in a group while traveling to Elona, only the player who talked to the NPC gets the quest marked as completed.

Check those out. For each campaign you have go talk to the NPC and complete the quest. Then try the missions again. It should work after you do that.

I've had that problem on a couple characters too, as did another person I know. The only thing I can think of is that you took the quest and then abandoned it once you found out you didn't need it, but it still locks you out of the mission. It's a weird bug.

That was exactly the problem. I redid sunspears of kryta and the missions opened up immediately.

It's sad that this bug isn't really documented in wiki -they should be in the notes for these specific quests.

you redid sunspears in kryta? i don't think it's a bug in that case because you didn't talk to the npcs in the correct order.

I did all those starter missions with a Tyrian Monk just a couple of days ago. Had no problems, just spoke to the NPCs and started the missions as normal.

Dunno what's happened to you, but I doubt there is actually a problem.

Edit: Just went and tried getting into the Blacktide Den mission, everything was fine.

It's not my fault that the game allowed me to enter into a portion of the game but not open the missions for me. I've done sunspears in kryta before and it allowed me into Nightfall. With the new quests for non nightfall characters it apparantly includes "sunspears in kryta" as part of the "land of heroes chain" even though it will allow you to complete land of heroes without having to redo "sunspears..." It will not open the other missions until you do redo sunspears.

Requiring to do a quest twice is a bug and it should be documented.

What happens in this case is people get ran to Nightfall without the quest, or just didn't take it when they did it with friends. That's probably what happened.

This was an issue ages ago for a lot of players. My character suffered from this bug too, but the fix was found a month or so after Nightfall's release and thus I could access the areas after redoing those quests as well. But it seems now that there are still characters suffering from this bug?

Well after A land of heroes you need to do The Time is Nigh that you get from Castellan Puuba which leads you to consulate docks. As far as I know, once you've completed that and got the reward at consulate docks you should be able to do those missions.

Um, Sunspears in Kryta isn't a repeatable quest. If you just did it then that implies that you hadn't completed it before. Not a bug you just abandoned or forgot to finish the quest earlier.

Said bug is not a bug, it's you doing it wrong.
