Weapon/Item creation
Monk of Demise
I haven't seen this, though I would be surprised if it hasn't been suggested before. Since I haven't seen it I'm going to post it anyway. I am mainly a PvE player but when I made a PvP too not too long ago I was thrilled at how the weapon creation system worked.
Whey can't we have something like the PvP weapon creation in PvE. Even i you had to pay for it and have materials. I mean there is not enough storage to keep one of everything for when you need it and not everything is available from another player right when you need it.
So, my suggestion is implemet some form of the PvP item creation in PvE. Thoughts?

The economy is already flawed. So let's not ruin it completely.

Not that it would really unbalance things. However, imo thats why I PvE. To have every weapon available to you whenever you want, kinda takes away from the trade system(whats left of it). If you can go to a merchant and make anything, whats the point of Chests, Boss Drops etc? Granted you can get golds form the ZChest on Isle of Nameless, it no where compares to PvE drops. This would make it so much easier to acquire specific skins etc = Fail.

Well economy already sucks so i dont see how this would break it. Anyway, this would only give you the lame/generic skin so golds/rare skin would still have value. I'm thinking this would be more for those people like me who hate trading and find it a pain in the ass.

So in actuality, you want an Auction House or trade system? This is what is needed, not a merchant that can magically make anything you want, even if it is for a price.
I do agree that trading is a bitch atm, but I would just suck it up and wait for GW2. I'm not saying stop with suggestions b/c this could help Devs for GW2, but we should really stop trying to change GW as its obvious that nothing will be implemented.

ANet sells characters slots. So if you want to make PvP, since all PvP rewards are completely account-wide: Title points, Faction, Items, Tournament points...
It doesn't really matter which character is the one playing. So if you want to go PvP and your PvE character is not ready, you get an empty slot and make a PvP character.

Well, it wont happen in GW1, and somehow I doubt this'd happen in GW2 (Maybe for the really crappy skins, but that'd be it)

how bout this, a crafter that has the same window. there for if you have unlocked it, it can be crafted later. also none of these inscriptions or mods are salvagable. once its made, its made. This way for a decent price you could get the weapon you want when you want. IF you have unlocked it.

Make it a 10K fee(double the regular weapon crafter) + materials, and a single generic crafter or collector skin, and I think it(legion rat's post) would be a nice addition.
