Customise Zaishen Keys

Horrible idea. People actually farm these and sell them. If you customize them i'm sure it would have some effect on Guild Wars Economy.

Not signed. Maxing this title is not really possible because the max is so ludicrously high.

And not everyone is interested in ranking up in the title, some would prefer to choose to sell their Z Keys and should be allowed to have that option just as they currently do.

This is fine as is. If any changes should be made, then it should be changed so that the the points needed to max title is drastically lowered.

You do realize the POINT of this suggestion is so you can't sell them.

Person a: The speed limit is 55 mph.
Person b: We should lower the speed limit to 45 mph
Person a: You can't do that because the speed limit is 55 mph

Anyway, as I've said, it is a bad idea. But at least use rational reasons to dismiss it.

Something needs to be done to prevent people from buying the zaishen title. Pve players already have plenty of stuff that they can buy, such has armor and pve titles. Zaishen indicated pvp, and it should be pvp. This emote appears to be one of those (pwned by someone with experience) kinda things, not (im gonna spam you with my spear that cost 5 mil). Allowing people to buy this title totally kills the point and i'd rather not have the title at all. What's next... WTB r15 hero emote 4.5 mil.

Well, i'm a title farmer... i love gw, but done everything, so now i occupy myself with titles and helping my guildies ... waiting till gw2 gets out.
But this is 1 title i find ridiculous. It has no added value of any kind. I don't mind people buying/selling these keys, i make a nice amount of gold from selling these babies.

I'm more worried about gw economics. That zaishen chest drops lots of weps that were considered rare. Take a look at the well known Ele sword, what happened to its price and rarity when they started dropping in eotn? Prices crumbled... lots of weps will have the same futur. Farming weps isn't the way of earning gold anymore ... cos of things like this.

Why did anet create this new title? To have a new pvp title? Then it missed its goal i think.
Personalising keys is not the way to solve this. Why not make alcohol personal to ... it's a title u buy to (most of it)...

Some players don't care for titles or any of the things that come out of the z chest, why should they be stuck with a stack of customized keys or unwanted items they can do nothing with but drop in the bin? And if z keys are customized, then how about alcohol/sweets/party items? Other items that contribute to title? Lockpicks - Treasure Hunter/Lucky/Unlucky? Gold items - Wisdom? When exactly would the customizing of things be deemed going too far or considered fair/unfair for all?


Hang around major districts and you'll hear all about players that buy ranks/trimmed capes/guilds etc. This has been going on for a long time, nothing recent.

This is a title done totally wrong. But customizing keys is also doing it wrong! Think of the people who sell keys, who don't like to gamble, who don't have time to WTS all that junk that drops from the chest.

The way this title should have been done is:: Gain points for the title at the moment you SPEND your Faction or RPs to obtain a Zaishen Key, so you can later sell it or open the chest just like you did before update. Only this way it would be a truly meaningful title, not another money crap.

Sadly I don't see them updating this title after people already spent millions on buying it. Sad.

Yes they should have been customised, however it is too late to change now.

Why not just change the title to:
1k Balth Faction earned=1 title point
I think it'd be a better display of achievement (even though faction is easy to come by, it's better than pure cash) and it could fit retroactively as balth faction earned is already tracked.

The whole Z-key inclusion was a bad idea to begin with, and now the economy is going to suffer as well. (a Z-chest opening spike always is bad news for mods, golds, and rares prices, along with huge amounts of cash being pumped into the economy from merching junk)

Z-chest gives people a chance to make money or find rare items. If someone's got too much cash then why shouldn't a player be able to sell their keys to that person?

because when I get my title, I don't want it confused with those who have bought theirs.

I don't mind, I only use my own keys, and never sell or buy them.

Zaishen keys it's one of the few income sources for PvP-only accounts, though.

So you're the first one that gets 100 million balth faction? or 20.000 tournament reward points. Customizing them makes it even more impossible.
