I feel a thread like this is desperatly needed before people seriously hurt themselves.

Where would we be without all the good things Arena Net did for us?
Like:
Dye preview screen.
Salvage preview screen.
Charr Bags and Charr Salvage kits (yay!)
Heroes and Henches.
Once a mayor bug is found it's fixed pretty fast.
End game greens.
New high end elite areas (Sorrow's Furnace)
Easter Eggs (hidden secrets)
Hard Mode.
Silver Eagle Armor, Elite Templar Armor and Labyrinthine Armor that was added to the game.

Cant forget all the contests where players get to add stuff in game(design your own weapons,and name the boss contest)

Unfortunitly the laundry list of bad things about gw more than triples the good stuff list. But I applaud your intent.

Alexandra, you should know that these things are NEVER enough for the fickle breed of people that are gamers

I've enjoyed and continue to enjoy all the juicy good things ANet has giving us, and I still get pleasure from playing the game.

But I also, love coming to Guru and reading the dramas and giggling at all the QQers.

Seriously, if ANet let all those dopes get to them, I think they would either fold GW and GW2 or just stop with the updates to GW, focus on GW2 and eventually GW2 would become another one of the generic MMORPGs because ANet just wouldn't bother listening to people whinge about useless crap

Of course, this is just my opinion. ^^

Promotting sportmanship by ranking down the players using /emote after they killed you was also one of the good thing they did.

The way they fight against gold sellers is also really nice. Too bad they just added a nice big'n juicy money sink to help them stay in bussiness.

Titles to show what you have accomplish in the game were also a nice thing they added. the only one that comes to my mind as far as non buyable title are concern is Legendary skill hunter. And even that one you can buy runs to obtain the difficult ones.

Concerning the Z title/emote bullcrap, i really dont think the community is QQing. We commenting on a really crappy,worst thing that could have happened to GW.

Its a money sink/buyable tittle combine with sportmanship being totally banned from the game.

More on the subject at hand, getting your own map to hunt with no one to steal your kills is awsome.

I think this is a very nice thing you are doing Alexandra.
I was thinking about one hour how unhappy the forum community is with the game and it has been a while since we had any positive posts.
We used to have a lot of that before.

The truth is that most people use these foruns to channelize their frustrationS (capital s) and it feels good when you "release" your anger. So by doing this frequently your mind understands that ranting/trolling in here will make you less unhappy (altough only for a short time) therefore you will do it more and more oftenly in order to give your body and mind the idea that your frustration is out, wich unfortunately is not the case. This is called behaviourism.

Remember that happiness does not comes from the outside to the inside, but from the inside to the outside.

Oh, and I also loved Zho's Journal and the Moa Chick. I like reading the story that was in it. I wish they would make more stuff like this or maybe make a little library in our HoM for GW lore. Other Journals or Books we can find while playing the game and then place in there.

That reminds me, all the BMP stories too. ^_^

I'm still actively playing and enjoying GW after 3 years. They must be doing something right.

Oh, and getting rid of "attribute refunds"... change your stats at will! OMG!

Party Search for trading! Yeah, yeah it's not perfect, it's no auction house, whatever. But I don't have to stare at spam flying by at 100mph in the trade channel any more. Awesome!

I have one! The humor in this game can be absolutely brilliant. I was reminded of this when I started playing again this week after having a break and decided to do Sorrow's Furnace for the first time. The "Summit Slaves" quest made me giggle a bit.

Also, I downloaded the free music expansion that came with the area, and I've been enjoying that, too.
