Canada...... Eh!

I've perused Inde's sticky post here: http://guildwarsguru.com/forum/showt...php?t=10037429 and executed all the tips there. But here's my problem: When I run contig in the command window, it tells me that the .dat file still has 244 fragments in it. Then when I run it to defrag the file it tells me "All files were either already defragmented or unable to be defragmented."

I used to be able to get it down to 1 or 2 fragments, but now I can only get it as low as 244? My questions then are - Is there a way for me to get the Gw.dat back down to 1 or 2 fragments? Or even something lower than 244 fragments? Does anyone have a suggestion of a different single file defragmenter that works well of the Gw.dat?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is bugging the hell right outta me. Before someone asks, it doesn't seem to be affecting my gameplay. But I'm anal retentive about things like this. If it's not as good as I can get it, I obsess over it until I get it right.

You most likely need to free more space so it can defrag properly. You'll want to defrag the entire drive using AusLogics as mentioned, then Contig, etc.

I agree... that is usually the main problem. How much disk space do you have left?

Yup, that was it. I only had about 4 gigs left on my main drive. Deleted a buncha stuff and freed up another 20 or so gigs. Worked like a charm after that. Thanks for your help peoples!

Run CCleaner slim too, might recover another GB or two.
