I looked at both wikis and they are extremely unclear on this point so I'm hoping the posters here can answer this clearly.
Today I was farming Zaishen Elite and then the faction gain stopped. I believe it stopped at 2000 points. I was with a PUG and we won a bunch of more rounds and lost some too, going back to the outpost a few times. For a whole lot of those battles, I got no faction at all. After about 20 or 30 mins later or so of player, we won 5 and then my faction started to gain again for the period from the reward for winning round 5, up to to the reward for winning round 9. Then after that, the faction gain stopped again. I'm pretty sure that I did not reach the 6000 faction limit. So what was going on there?
What I want to know is, the exact system that determines when faction gain stops and starts again, before the daily 6000 faction limit is reached.
Question about how Zaishen Elite faction gain stop/starts works

IIRC, it's 2k normally, up to 6k in one go. Or something like that.

6k a day from zaishen ELITE and 2k from zaishen Challenge, a day.
not 8k a day,lets say 2k from challange, than 4k from elite,
so just 6k from killing npc.. easy >_>

Yeah that's not answering the question that I'm asking about though.

Check the wiki. It has your answer.

You can get 6000 if you don't lose.

Each consecutive victory after the second round raises your faction cap by 1,000, up to a maximum of 6,000/day. If you lose, you must win consecutive victories to acquire more faction. 16 consecutive, flawless victories will award you 6K.

I aleady read the Wiki explanation before making this thread. However, it doesn't make sense when compared with my experience as described in the OP.
How is "round" defined, exactly?
Is that one battle vs. the Zaishen bots = a round? If so, then the Wiki definition there was not applying to how the faction gain stopped and started and stopped in my games as described in the OP. If that is the definition of "round", then I didn't get faction for a lot more than just 2 rounds in a row after reaching 2000.
If that is not the definition of round, then what is?

Your OP is too vague to provide an answer. A "round" is one battle versus one team.

The answer to that question varies according to how much faction you have gained.

You win up to 6k.
A round is precisely one zaishen clearing (one map, ona battle, one pwnage of those IWAY lame warriors :P). So as someone said, each round unlocks you additional 1k faction. You won't win 1k faction for that round though. If, say, you win three rounds and lose fourth, you can keep losing on the fourth until you max 3k, while only winning faction in the third round if you already have 2k, or only winning faction on the second and third ones if you already have 1k, or other combinations. If you already capped 5k, for example, and you lose, only way to keep getting more is getting to 6th round and higher, all previous will net 0, including the 5 consecutive bonus.
At least that's how I see it works for me. But if it doesn't for you, maybe you didn't waited for the 24 hours refresh? Is not like it starts counting after you finish the 6k, it starts a new period of 24 hours every time you win faction, and that means lots of timers. So if at 0:00 you gained 200, at 0:01 you gained additional 200, you'll only win 200 at the next day 0:00, and need to wait one minute to gain the other 200, and so on.
Hope I made a point
