PvE skill reversion, what do you want to see?

Now Plays World of Warcraft on Whisperwind

With ANet separating the skills from PvP and PvE what skills would you like to see changed for the separation? I would like to eventually see the following skills undone from PvP nerfs.

Ritualist
Channeling
Blood Song moved back to communing.

Communing
Displacement reverted back to it’s original form.
Shelter reverted back to it’s original form.
Union reverted back to it’s original form.
Xinrea’s weapon reverted back to it’s original form.

Restoration
No changes needed

Spawning Power
Ritual Lord reverted back to it’s original form.
* Also drop the –50 hp penalty to all spirits for PvE leave it for PvP.


Paragon
Command
GFTE reverted back to it’s original form.

Leadership
Aggressive Refrain reverted back to it’s original form.

Motivation
Change all motivational skills back to their original pre-nerf forms.

Spear
no changes I can think of.


Ranger
Beast Mastery
Edge of Extinction reverted back to it’s original form.

Warrior
Tactics
Increase the duration of all Tactics Stances by at least 5 seconds.


I’m sure others can think of more skills for more classes to be moved back to their original forms however these have been particular to me in general.

NOTE: This is for discussion of skills you would like to see returned for good use in PvE, Not a place to flame PvE players about skill or lack of skill.

I'd personally like to see no changes, or possibly a few more nerfs. The last thing Anet needs to be doing is making PvE power creep worse than it already is.

Revert all the skills that were nerfed or buffed with JUST PvP in mind.

That's ALL they have to do, it's just a matter if they do it right. Any worse would be nerfing PvE, not the skills themselves.

Sometimes, I wish I was in charge of skill balancing :P

Rodgorts + Mind Blast - reverted

Light of Deliverance - back to 5s recharge / more heal like it used to be

TACTICS -- Watch Yourself reverted so that it's useful, same with Fear Me. Good hero skills really.


For PvP - SHADOW FORM FOR CHRIST'S SAKE. something. anything.

I agree with this 100% for the simple fact that this is the perfect opportunity to do so and have a good reason to do it.

If they do not nerf ursan now I don't know what the hell they are doing.

ADDED: And really tbh i do not think they need to separate the 2 as we have dealt with it in the past and even with this you will piss people off. Either way in the end people end up angry and separating the two is not a good thing imo.

I have only just read the massive thread that detailed what Anet was doing. Not sure how I feel about it, but anyway.

I'd like my spirits back on my rit. They are useable in NM but not in HM. I've basically come to play 1 or 2 builds on my rit in HM simply because communing really isn't worth it - which is a pity.

I don't want to see a necro minion buff, and I've never had a problem with the timer for soul reaping in PvE.

There were a couple of changes made to mes skills at some stage I wouldn't mind back - some of the inspiration stuff. Mind you inspiration did get a nice buff at some stage with some changes I think were great.

Spirits trigger SR.

Pets leave corpses.

none of thoses affect me personally but they sure as hell left me feeling very annoyed.


as a side note, SR timer is fine as its is now.

Many paragon skills have been destroyed for PVE useage. It's still kind of a moot point though as any pve para is going to be running a bar built around TNTF and SY!.

I see most suggestions are pertaining to buffing skills; anyone keen on reducing a skill's effectiveness in pve?

WOW I really hope I can stand more than 1hour a week of grind just to see what change it makes. (I know LB will still be as dull but at lest the 'same' run maybe slightly different)

communing sucks balls, and channeling/ resto is great.

i got an idea, lets nerf the good rit attribute to the sucky one is a little less sucky, then Channeling is weaker, and communing still sucks.

the rogorts + mind blast revert that gift3d mentioned wuld be great to see, that build was super fun

making paragons skills useful in pve again wuld be cool too [as a few have alrdy said]

reverting ineptitude and mantra of recovery and generally making mesmer moar pve friendly again.

and also reverting pet corpses wuld be nice too.

all that said, i really don't see a massive need to do this. pve is already quite easy with solid hero builds and competent players

I would prefer the old blood of the master/ no minion cap and stuff. Mainly the no minion cap since if your willing to sacrifice so much health to upkeep as many minions as you want then it shouldn't be so horrible. But most likely won't ever happen.

As for the skill reversion: Like someone already said, all they have to do is revert all the skills they changed because they imbalanced PvP.

i dont think anyone here is saying pve was or is hard now.

just that reverting these skills would bring back some of the old variety into pve again.

I'm amazed there are still people howling for infinite soul reaping in the age of Sab's 3 necro build, when it's more than obvious that necros (and SR in particular) are too powerful even with the timer, and I say that as someone with a necro primary main character.I don't want infinite energy, thank you, an SR reversion would force me to stop playing my favorite character by making the whole damn game so preposterously easy it's no longer with bothering with.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the revert is for skills, not attributes/game mechanics. I highly doubt timerless SR/old MM's will make a comeback given the necro's current state.

SR won't get changed, dunno why you are all suggesting it. Also, I find it funny that people think Paragon's are useless, when they're probably the most overpowered class in PvE. You guys need to Ursan less, it's making you dumber.

I have to admit I would like to see Feral Aggression reverted back to what it was in the pre release of GWEN.

Other than that(maybe some of the war stances though I never used them) I really can't see any reversions being good, they could however do some buffing to skills that are still completely useless.

There are a tonne of Elite Skills that are in desperate need of a buff to make them usable.

I agree with this statement. Those skills that got nerfed should stay nerfed in PvE, I dont' want to use the same damn skills. I think Anet should get to buffing those skills no one would use and they couldn't buff because they'd be too OPed in PvP. Some of the horrible shit warrior elites like Primal Rage. Tease needs to be changed or removed from the game. Some ranger skills need to be buffed up, make it so using pets in PvE can be viable other than for corpses etc etc.

And then after a few months, nerf those back and do that to a new selection of skills, cause it won't be any different any other way and it seems more fun that way. But whatever you do keep LoD, spirits, and whatever else the OP asked for to be reverted, nerfed!
