Hey guys I have here a problem stopping me from doing anything and your help would be greatly appreciated!

When I start the computer up and select normally I get this screen:

(I just took the image off of yahoo images but it is the same error)

When I do what it suggests and try to start it in safe mode this does not work either. Really need your help on this one guys before I take it in somewhere to get fixed.

yeah tis working again now. Its the blue screen of death usually attributed to your computer performing an illegal action (nothing to do with the internet etc, something that goes against its base code) the one properly safe way to fix this is with a complete re-install of your OS. you can google around for extra info

When you get hold of the disks, just boot with the XP install disk and start the recovery console. It may be that the boot sector information on your HDD has got mangled (MBR).

If you have any friends with Windows disks, any will do. I recently fixed a friend's XP install with a Vista disk - which is supposedly impossible

hmm I just may need to try that for shits and giggles. I was also wondering if it could be a hardware problem considering the main HD is at least 6 years old.
