Ok, quick question. I never really understood how mods on shields work all that well and since I've never particularly wanted to mod my own shield, I haven't bothered learning.
Now, i am the proud owner of a sparkly new torment shield and this is the shield I plan to keep and use. I want to mod it up. I know that non-inscribable shields cannot be modded at all. They have to stay as they came, but can a mod be salvaged off a non-inscribable shield and applied to my inscribable torment shield?
I saw a plain shield for sale with a HP +60 while hexed handle. The shield is non-inscribable, plain skin and only 1k. I'd like to buy it and salvage the handle, but only if I can use it.

Not true.
You can salvage Handles off non-inscribable Shields if the Shield's name is "XXX of Valor" or "XXX of Fortitude".
There is a Handle on it and it can be salvage, no matter if the shield is inscribable or not.
All Shields found in EotN and NF can all be upgraded with a Shield Handle, inscribable or not.

Thx for the screenshots, Take. However that's not quite what I'm asking. I'm wondering if I can salvage off shield handles from Tyrian Shields. I'm guessing that the answer is no. I know I can apply those handles to NF/EotN shields.
I'll just test it myself the next time a crappy blue or purple shield drops for me in Tyria. Of course I've already spent a week vanquishing in Tyria and no shields. Lots of War Axes, Earth Staffs, Jeweled Chakrams and Water Wands though.
