Skip All Missions To Dopple?

Im from Factions and im lvl 20 and i want to go to ToA but i need ascended and i havent done mish 4 in factions yet to get "Closer to the stars" is it easyer to just get ran to the desert for ascension, (im at droks) , or do you have to progress the story to get there?

You can't get backwards from Droks to the desert - the only way is via Sanctum Cay.

First, Droks is past where you need to be to get to the desert. You'll have to go back to Lion's Arch and get run to Sanctum Cay, finish that mission, to get to the desert. Then, you'll have to beat all three missions in the desert to fight the dopple.
In factions, it's vizunah, then napui....I'd go that route.

As said, to get to the desert, you must beat Sanctum Cay mission, which is WAY before Droks, and the entire desert is before Droks actually. After Sanctum Cay, you need to beat Dunes of Despair, Elona's Reach, Thirsty River, then doppleganger mission.
Or you can do the "Closer to the stars" thing by beating Nahpui. Must faster. I personally disagree with skipping missions if it is your first play through, and if you didn't know that Droks was after the desert, I'd say its your first time playing. So play the game and stop getting runs!

definatly would go for naphui...
much faster and easier (more players than in crystal in my expirience)

play all 3 campaigns thru atleast once before you start getting runs/mission runs or anything else
they just ruin the game if you don't know what happend and so on it's just not that much fun anymore

fastest way to be "ascended" is thru nightfall at your point in the game...4 quests, a mission, and another quest and you can do as much UW and FoW as you want. that is unless you already have naphui, in which case that would be the fastest.

Sanctum cay is req'd for ascensium in proph.

Sanctum Cay to get to the Desert, plus the three Ascension missions before you are actually able to do Augury Rock to ascend. Naphui is definitely the quicker route to be able to do any of the god realms. Not that you'll get a group without [[ursan].

Also since you mention a couple of different things, ToA = Temple of Ages, which is one of the access points to the god realms FoW and UW. Completing either of the Ascensions in Prophecies or Factions will grant you access. Tombs, however, can only be entered through Dragon's Lair, which means you have to go through the Prophecies Ascension if you want to play there.
