How long u think it will take to get in an AB this weekend. I mean i sometimes wait up to 10 mins just to get in depending on the time of day but will Anet be able to handle this weekend?

Are you sure it is because Anet can't handle it, or is it because there really aren't enough people on the other side.

On double weekends there's usually plenty of people on both sides. Last AB event I only waited maximum of 3 minutes on Ancestral. Considering Ancestral wait-times are usually 10-ish mins for me, this was an awesome improvement.

And yes, it's got nothing to do with ANet not being able to handle it.

It is reasonable to assume the numbers on both sides will increase by the same factor, the times should therefore be the same or better.

When Luxons own most of the Echoval Forest and we're playing in Ancestral, I think lots of Luxons simply abstain from AB because it's too hard to win. Hence, the long waiting times.

Not much the devs can do about that. Mind you, it will be busy either way this weekend.

If the areas we're fighting in are only slightly in favor of one side or completely neutral then I don't think wait times will be too long. If say the luxons are in Kanaii Canyon then it's probably gonna be a longer wait for them than the kurzicks.

Isn't this a repeat weekend event? Why wouldn't Anet be able to handle it? Sure there may be a few more people on to farm faction for Z-keys, but thats hardly an issue.

Your long wait times are because of a lack of people in AB, not because of problems on Anet's side.

People still play those? You should just go to farm the faction in Cantha.

Lately people have been ABing slightly more it seems, the times have went down (wait times) =D

I just wish they'd do a double faction weekend instead of limiting it to AB.

The waiting times will probably short, and AB will be crammed with trolls and other degenerate-type players.

I doubt they will be too bad. I don't see it beinig a huge factor.

I simply love double AB weekends. It's the only time I can stand around waiting for AB to load.

I was always under the impression that loading times had to do with the amount of servers dedicated to AB games. Wich would be increased during such a weekend.

Yep. Ancestral sends people packing. If it's a double weekend, however, this luxon hopes it stays in Ancestral all weekend long.

This depends on the amounts of players on both sides. Just like the 'Ford Aspenwood' mission in Echowald. If there are enough numbers on one side but not on the other, you have to wait. Otherwise there's no problem.
