Build Hosting

My alliance uses a free forum hosting site for our forums and as such we are unable to install nifty little tools like gwBBC, however we would like to be able to store builds in such a way that our members can see what each skill does etc.

So I was wondering if anyone knew of a build hosting website that would allow us to store a series of builds that we can link to from our forums that doesn't involve us installing any software?

I figured that this might have came up before and tried search but to no avail so if there is a thread that I overlooked that covers this, let me know!

You can setup a personal user page on PvX wiki, then you and your guildies can easily post & edit your own builds.

Just go into article editor, type away your gwBBcode and then click save as new article or preview etc etc.

PvX is public I think, which is bad if you're planning on trying GvG builds (/Copy noebs, them iz everywear)

gwshack is pretty good, I'm not too sure if you can add additional info. (As in HOW to use the target bar, etc....)

Yeah you can write whatever you want in the article just in with the code, it can look hard to read when you're writing it but when its done in the article it looks fine.

Stop if I'm wrong, but it seems that with both options, random people can still view said builds right? I'm wanting to keep it such that only those that visit our forums can see them.

Also what about this GW Team Builder? Seems like a fun tool, but I don't think it would be the thing we're looking for.

Your guild could set up one account on gwshack and share the user name and password with guildies only this way only you all can see your private builds. As for instructions on how to use the build, any text outside the build tags is shown as text and you can have many builds on one page. Hope this helps

That's an interesting idea Xaviar.

I'll have to give that a shot and see how that works-I can easily post our info on the forums and just link to it.
