Earning Norn Points After R10

I was wondering if you think that earning norn points after r10 is a good idea? like sunspear by having no cap for the bounties in Hard Mode.

No I don't see why anyone would want to advance their alleigance points past the r10 cap, there is no reason to. Skills don't become more powerful and it has no effect on the title effect either.
But its always up to the person if they want to get x norn points just to brag, but they arent visible so it would be rather pointless

I think for every title with xxx points, it should MAX and stop increasing when U have the max tier...

I absolutely HATE to see 50,565 points on LB instead of a perfect, round 50,000...

Same for drunkard, sweet tooth, etc. (But atleast those titles can be somewhat manually adjusted. With SS/LB, you sometimes get 50,001 points, which is highly annoying, because all the other titles look so "perfect".

But then again, this would only be a shallow update, but it is nontheless something that annoys me. (WHY can't it just show 50,000 SS/Lb points, it looks better...)

how about, converts all points after their designated caps into points that you can exchange for a Zaishen Key

Because it shows experience. Also, my 130k+ LB points from the old DOA days, for example, allow me to calculate roughly how many Abaddon's forces were crushed during my adventures.

this would be only not pointless, when anet would implement some content for reputation points over r10...

say you get 200k Rep and you will unlock with that a set of new Quests of (insert race here), which would be replayable

when you get 300k, you get a Minipet

you reach 500k and you will be able to buy another very special Race-Elite Armor, which has complete new look and is no reskin

you reach 750k and you will be rewarded with 250 Creme Bruless, 250 Fire Waters and 750 Rockets

you reach 1 Million Rep and and you will receive an eternal tonic, with that you can transform into [insert race here]

however, others have sure soem good ideas about this too... somethign such these rewards would be the only thing, that i could imagine for high rep amounts after r10 as rewards

I can see ursan groups taking this as a req. "must be above XXX points".

I think r10 is high enough for the reputation titles, anything more is nervebreaking.

You can still go past r10 now doing quests and dungeons, might take you forever to even get 10k rep but it's doable if you have nothing better to do :/

It takes the same amount of skill to reach 500k rep points as it does to reach 160k points, so the only thing it would show is time spent in an area.

Getting to R10 of the rep titles is anyway still grind, because alone with books &dungeons you won't reach r10, mostly only like r7-8 or so ,the rest you have to grind farm

Norn for example making HM runs at varajar with the Facets Quest there, so that those 6 dragon facet bosses spawn
Dwarfs grind farm Snowman Dungeon
Asuras vanguishign asura territories under asuran boon...
Vanguard vanguishing sacnoth valley ...

or you grind farm you so often the 3-4 Primary Quests or so, until books become worth it to trade them in for like 6000 rep points or so a trade.

You can say, what you want, those titles are at the higher end all grind. <my suggestion would be only something, that should give players some kind of motivation for getting more reputation points, after they've reached r10.

Where is please the sense in letting us earn more rep points, when there is no motivation for us to do so ? Without a motivation, this would be, as said complete pointless to make.
and i have never mentioned a word about, that they should be more rewards after 1 Million...

These rewards would motivate also players to fill several times completely their Hard Mode Book,s because completing them would be the most simplest quick way to achieve the 1 million reputation points, without grind farming thousands over thousands of monsters, becaue by tradign in 2 complete hardmode books, you get +120k Reputation points.

Would be also ~8-9 complete book fills in HM if you would want to get 1 million alone by books, but divide from the millon the 160k, you will be left with 840k points and we would be at exactly 7 book fills for HM after reachign the 160k to reach 1 Million. This grind sounds only bigger, as it really is and its completely OPTIONAL
Nobody forces you to get more reputation points, unless you want soem of the rewards, where most ones, except the new armors I suggest, which should be then no reskins you could by off from other players.


Get 40k more for some new repeatably Quests: no real effort, quick reached

Get Minipet at 300k: wow, thats 140k away from r10, if you don't want to get the rep, buy the minipet off from someone ,who made the optional effort, but don't whine about it, when the mini will be then not one, that you can buy for like 5 Plat or so >.>

Get Armors is the only thing, that you could not buy from others and actually would require from you some big effort, farming 340 rep points, but anyone who hs also reached r10 through farmign or made a legendary survivor character the old way, will have no problem with that kind of long farmign for somethign. Who says, that this new Armor MUSt count as elite armor huh ? Could be also handled like Dwarf armor, which doesn't count as Elite also, but only as some new armor parts for Armor Mixing...

I think it would be good as reward helping you for doing 1 grind in soem of the other OPTIONAL big grinds of GW... and grinding 590k rep points more than neccessary is it imo worth it to reward you with this stuff to help you get stuff for the other grind titles. Admit it, you would be happy, if the game would have such kind of rewards for doing some greater grind to get done through it other grind quicker.

for 1 mill reward, whats so bad about eternal tonics for transforming into an Asura, Norn, Dwarf, Charr (for vanguard, because we are already humans lol).
Such tonics would we really amazing, especially for any players, which play RP in GW i'm sure about.
and making them the reward for 1 Mill will ensure, that those tonics will have later a good value, sure beign alot higher, than any of the other e-tonics.

I don't see a problem in such or other similar rewards for higher reward points above r10 ,which are linked to the races mostly and would also help reducign the grind of the other grind titles, because i admit, I would prefer grinding the 750k reputation points to get the stuff for the 3 mentioned grind titles, than to grind my add of for the money to buy the same amount of items ..., because on the way I'll have then the motivation, that i will unlock for me the possibility to get soem new armors, which are then really NEW, get a new mini, some new quests to do, so new game content and even then I still can gridn a bit more and get an awesoem e-tonic for my effort, which would be completely optional, because grinding more reputation, than necessary WOULD NOT MAKE the skills linked to the titles stronger.

So no f.u.c.k.i.n.g Uber strogn Ursan!! through higher reputation points above 160k. R10 stays R10, so no skill buffs.

We are in sardelac, and i just posted my opinion about reputation points above r10 and my simple fact, that it will be only not pointless, when anet gives us some motivating rewards. Everythign i made after that was posting only an Example for rewards...
