Questions between Campaigns

Hello,

This is my first post, and my first time on these forums, but I hear that these are THE best forums to come to So I was wondering if you guys could answer some questions for me.

Recently I bought a Guild Wars Prophecies account, but now I am thinking of buying a Factions account aswell. So I would like to know, can my characters from Prophecies travel to Cantha, and are they able to use Canthan Armour?

I see players from Elona and Cantha in Tyria, so I am wondering if I could travel to their areas aswell if I own both campaigns. I am interested not only in the Factions campaign itself, but the unique armour there for my Prophecies characters.

Yes, once you add Factions to your account, you can play your Prophesies character in Cantha and have him/her wear the Canthan armor. There is a quest in Lions Arch that will take you to Kaineng City in Factions where you can pick up the storyline.

Yes, if you add the factions key to your account, your Tyrian characters can map over to Cantha from Lion's Arch. They will join the Factions storyline mid-story and progress in the Factions campaign from there. All armors are available for any character.

I'd recommend starting a new Factions character as well just so you get the entire story.

Factions characters that want to travel to Tyria are "called upon to help" with the undead menace in Kryta and travel to LA. From LA they have a quest to talk to some White Mantle dude in D'Alessio Seaboard and they pick up the Tryian storyline from there. If they want they can run back to the Ascalon areas, but they won't have any quests available to them in those sections. It's the same when you travel to Cantha with a foreign character. They pick up mid-way.

Yep - you can take any character from any campaign to any of the other campaigns and both play through the storyline there and wear the armor as well. The only req. is that you have the campaigns all on the same account.

Welcome to Guru (And GW aswell) And yes, as they've said you can freely travel between campaigns after you reach a certain point.
(Also, each campaign has armours for all core classes (The ones in prophecies)) And armour for their own class (EoTN is an expansion that covers all classes).
I'm not 100% sure if NF has armour for A or Rt, so don't quote me on that.

Just so you know since it's not completely clear based upon your question, if you buy someone elses Factions account, an action that is not supported by and infact directly opposed by ANet, you will not be able to take characters from your current account into Factions. You need a new, never before used key which you can add to your current account in order to do that.

Ummm no I plan on buying a new GW Factions game.

Uh right, I got one more question though, if I buy GW Factions, how does that affect my banks? Would my Factions characters have access to my Prophecies bank? And if they do would my bank still only have those 2 slots and the crafting storage? Or would they get 2 more slots added to them?

For each campaign you own, the Xunlai gives you an additional storage tab, so in that case, you'll have three tabs of storage plus crafting materials. And yes, all characters can access your storage.

Be careful to add the key to your existing account. You wouldnt be the first who accidently made a new account.
