Questions about questing in a party

Hi, all. I have been playing GW for a couple of weeks, but have not had much time to explore all the details of the interface just yet. (Silly work, getting in the way of my gametime, you know? )

I just had a friend join in and we were grouped for a couple of pre-searing quests. The questions we have are:

1. Is there any way one party member can know which quests the other(s) have without them having to type it all out in chat? Any indication in the quest log or other window?

2. Is there a way to tell who in the party has aggro? (Other than, as my friend said, by whose health bar is dropping rapidly. )

3. Is there an "assist" key so you target the target of your target? (Or target the target your target has targeted. If I'm going for tongue-twister, might as well pull no punches.)

I have scanned the GW wiki site and searched the forums, but have not seen much info on things like this.

Thanks for your help

1. No.
2. Watch the field. If all the enemies converge on one character, then that person's getting the aggro. Typically, this is the one with the lowest health.
3. No.

Since you are in Pre-searing, most enemies won't engage you unless you engage them first. If you are having any problems, just make sure you only attack what you can handle.

You can call a target, by holding Ctrl whilst hitting space or clicking a skill ("I'm attacking...!" or "I'm using ... on ...!")

Then anyone else can target your target by hitting T, or clicking the icon that appeared next to your name in the party box.

Perfect! Just what we were looking for on that one. Did not see anything listed in the keybinds for it.

Thank you

Ah, sorry, I misinterpreted your #3... By "target the target of your target," I thought you meant target the target of your enemy. So if you were a monk, you may want to know who your enemy was targeting so that you could heal or prot them. Sorry for any confusion...

That's ok. I wasn't exactly sure how to ask the question. What you were thinking, though, was kinda what I was going for in question #2, so you were not far off.

Seeing the target of the enemy you have targeted would be nice (and "skill forwarding" even nicer), but not necessary. I guess I'll just have to re-learn how to pay attention to what is going on in the game.

Thanks

Did you know you can guide others by drawing on the map or pinging an area on the map.

It can get out of hand with some parties but if you leave it to a party leader its pretty useful for showing the rout or indicating which group to attack etc.

Hopefully they will expand this in gw2

To select your closest target, use the c on your keyboard, if you want one other then the closest, use the tab key.
