Kill Order Help
thunderai
Does anyone have a site or knowlege of the kill order for mobs. I know certian professions should be targeted before others like monks, dominators, etc. But is there a comprensive list someplace of the different types of mobs and their kill order?

I don't really think there's a big comprehension list or anything.
I mean, it differs for your party composition and the mob composition but I believe it generally targets the casters first and saves melee for later - and rangers for last. This would be much easily done if you (seeing you seem to main Rangers) tried to shut down the melee fighters (Pindown/Epidemic, Ebon Dust Aura/Volley) while the party generally targeted the enemy casters, so you wouldn't need to worry so much about your party getting whacked to pieces while trying to kill enemy casters.
I usually H/H and find anything with AoE to be a bigger threat than even enemy healers.
AoE -> Healers -> Anything too annoying/Melee -> Rangers
Just my personal thoughts.

Intersting, Id like to see something more instructional though. Im a visual guy.
GaaaaaH
Mine is usually Monks(heal/res)->Rits(res)->Ele(AOE dmg)-> free for all, but if a mesmer is harrassing my casters they will get priority over eles.

in general, kill all enemies with hard resses first->healers->any offensive/shutdown casters->AL 70 foes->warriors/rangers last.
Now of course the cirumstances can lead you to prioritize certain enemies in a mob over other things in the order (corpse exploiting foes when I'm running MM's, afflicted rangers who blind my physicals and daze my casters, etc...), but that's the general order of things.

If you run the risk of dying, kill whatever will decrease that amount the most, and can be accomplished the fastest. This is often Mes or Ele as they lack self defense. Warriors can be targeted earlier if they frenzy, you use large amounts of armor ignoring damage, or they are undead and can be quickly smited. Only kill Monks early on hard pulls if they are slowing your kills of others by a significant amount.
If you do NOT run a serious risk of dying on a pull, kill whatever will make the fight the shortest. Typically that means healers, then buffers, then just spread around as much DPS as possible without much regard to killing individual mobs. If there is a certain mob that you can keep alive till last for your benefit (ie, mobs that cast weak hexes you can shatter/smite) then feel free to do so, if it doesnt slow down the yellow numbers.

It's different for everyone. Kill in the order that suits you best.

There is over a hundred areas and thousands of monsters in this game. You want a detailed guide what monster to kill first in every group? Are you serious?
Kill whatever seems to be the biggest threat/annoyance. Healers or dangerous squishes.

In general, I go:
Rezzers
Eles
Necro
Other casters
Melee
Rangers
Of course, that gets changed up as the situation calls. In hard mode, AoE eles always go first, then interrupt the rez and kill the Rit/monk.
In Nightfall, Roaring Ethers rez and have tough AoE, so they go first.
I guess the nutshell would be Rezzers first unless there's someone who can wipe your party. Then, kill the rest from the quickest to kill to the longest

I think you meant something like:
Afflicted:
Ritualist -> Elementalist -> Mesmer -> Monk -> Ranger -> Warrior -> Assassin -> Necromancer
Mantle:
Warrior -> Monk -> Elementalist -> Ranger -> Mesmer -> Necromancer
But really, its bogus. There are various situations that call do different order. Depending on both party make up, enemy team composition, positioning, amount of enemies, how fast you kill em, how fast they kill you ... etc etc.
Kill order that is smart in once case is totally stupid in other case.

Even simpler...
Things that can kill you-->Things that can bring back things that can kill you-->everything else.
