It's been awhile since i've played as a Necro and even when i did play i usually always went the MM route. So today i decided to create a PvP Necro that utilised curses instead of minions. It's not perfect i know but i played it for about 3 hours today in AB and it did pretty good, but i've hit a mental block and cant really think of how to improve it. So any suggestions are welcome!

[build prof=N/A name= Curses=12+1+1 soulreaping=3 deadly=12 desc="Weapon #1:40/40 set"][Soul Barbs][Spiteful Spirit][Faintheartedness][Enduring Toxin][Iron Palm][Signet of Twilight][Dash][Plague Sending][/build]

General usage is Soul Barbs> Spiteful Spirit> Faintheartedness> Enduring Toxin. I find the synergy between Sould Barbs and Enduring Toxin is great for when players kite or just run away from me. As they run away Toxin reapplies and causes Barbs to deal 29 damage while they get a reapplied -4 degen.

Iron Palm is pretty good for anyone i hex who gets too close. The signet seemed like a good choice since its only limited to the number of hexes on a target. Plague Sending seemed better than Plague Touch since i dont need to get close to a target to transfer any conditions, pretty good for fooling Rangers running a Cripshot or general degen build.

So...thoughts? opinions? advice? all are welcome !

Lol at this. You have Soul Barbs with three hexes besides it? Knockdown with no point... Why Necro? Sure you have 2 more in Curses, but you loose Deadly Arts that add more dmg.

Want to be anti-melee? Don't bring SS + Faith. Want to be universal? Don't. Faith + SS is bad combo, as it lowers SS' effectiveness. Plague Sending and Signet of Twilight seem a bit random. Remove them, get something like Entangling Asp + Vampiric Assault. And change elite to, like, Shadow Prison - faster dmg and more effective.

[faintheartedness] + [spiteful spirit] don't really go well together. [reckless haste] is a much better choice. soul barbs is rather weak, I would use [price of failure] instead. These 3 skills are pretty energy intensive tho, so you may want to replace one. Defile defenses is a good choice.
Spiteful spirit is normally not that great, however for shrines clearing it is pretty good.
Plague sending is only useful with foul feast in a team, where ff also serves as energy management.
I don't think the deadly arts skills are that great, prefer to use shadow arts to get [dark escape] and maybe even [feigned neutrality] if you plan to solo cap.
12 deadly arts is a waste anyway
[foul [email protected]][plague [email protected]][reckless [email protected]][defile [email protected]][spiteful [email protected]][dark [email protected]][dash][empty]

optional could be [feigned [email protected]]/[signet of lost [email protected]] or some curses [[email protected]][parasitic [email protected]][rip [email protected]][[email protected]][rend [email protected]][weaken [email protected]]

attributes:
12+1 curses
11+1+1 soul reaping
6 shadow arts (may want to run 8 shadow and 10+2+1 soul reaping)

Reactive Hexing Sucks

You can't run an AB build for a necromancer with only 3 in Soul Reaping, you're cheating yourself.

You have no self heal and no corpse utility. In AB that's very important.

You have a spell that punishes kiting but no way to punish not kiting.

There are too many 20s recharges.

I'd suggest hexer's vigor, at least 10 in soul reaping, a Well with fast recharge, and probably changing secondary to /E for Storm Djinn's Haste.
