True HA'ers do not care about rank, they care about how good you are. If you are bad, they do not want you. Rank is often an indicator of someones skill (not always), but it is the best you can do without actually playing with someone, and since time is money, rank discrimination exists.

HA is about fun and winning, and it is not fun explaining things over and over, and it is not fun losing.
too bad those types of players r very rare...

back on topic...

the prob is that it can be hard to get in groups sometimes
u have to be in a ha/gvg guild for best results

pugging ha makes jus bout as much sense as pugging a gvg does imo

if someone is gonna discriminate ur rank...
they're prolly not a good group for u anyways

ur sucess in ha heavily relies on bein around teh rite ppl
there r many solo players out there, and so this can be a prob

they blame it on rank discrimination and think thats teh prob
when all they need to do is find a good ha guild or group of friends
it is a 'team' game afterall

these type of solo players will prolly jus go back to ra where they can jus hit 'enter battle'
or ab where they can blind invite

stop with the name calling. what are you, 12? oh wait, your name has bunny in it, a picture of a pokemon, and you call people names. my b.

you did not even read the post. people want to do the high end content after they are bored with pve. the pvers that want to get into a little pvp are restricted to ab's and ra. tiered levels of ha would benefit all...let the fame go up by 1x its current state.

for example:

r0-r3 = x1
r4-r7 = x2
r8+ = x3

people with more experience get more fame, and those who are willing to learn will get little and will earn with time.

So all you want is to make fame easier to get? I'd agree with something if it was:

r0-2 = x0.25
r3-5 = x0.5
r6-8 = x0.75
r9+ = x1

My name derives from my in-game-name, dumbRED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO.

But on topic, you don't grasp the truth that if you pit poor players against poor players, you're going to get poor players. Over time, all it means is that really, really quite bad players will have phoenixes and tigers.

But you don't grasp complexities like that, do you.

Anyay, not signed. Like natural_Causes said, there aren't enough HA'ers to make it effective. If you're a higher rank (6+/9+), the wait would be way too long.

Allright gents, lets keep cool heads amongst all of this before this thread gets owned and bans handed out.

The main problem for unranked PvE'rs coming into HA is their level of expectations. They look at their PvE mains, and have KoaBD or "I have many leather bound books" and think to themselves "I own teh GW's". They EXPECT to go into HA, and have their bambis in the same amount of time and energy that it took to get Grandmaster skill hunter. Throw a team togeather, go kill shit, rinse, repeat. Then, when they get owned by a SWAY on Underworld, it is a total blindsiding. "WHAT????!!???!!!one!!!. This is HARD!".

There was a good point made earlier that nothing prepares players adequately for HA or GvG, and this is true. Nothing the GW AI has is complex or good enough to replicate the skill of a co-ordinated team of players. And the answer to this is....

TOUGH!

All it takes is time and DEDICATION to get rank. To get rank, you must dedicate time and effort to it. Learn the maps, learn the builds, observe matches till your eyes bleed. Join a guild. There ARE high level players out there who do not mind playing with unranked players, as long as they make the effort to learn and listen to instructions. It may sound crazy, but not all HA'ers are elitists.

Now, lets all go have some cookies and play some backgammon eh?

You need a reality check. If a tiered system is introduced, how can YOU guarantee 100% that all starter HA players are shitty?

There will be some % of starter PvP who actually know what they are doing, and will progress to the next tier in no time, which is when they will meet better and better players and will be forced to think outside the box.

A tiered system will actually revive HA as more people are encouraged to start. Once they get the hang of it, they are more likely to stay and adapt.

I don't understand why all the elitist HA'ers are pissed at the suggestion. Yes, there will be lesser groups to play with at higher tiers, and we can certainly work something out. Maybe they DO want to play with newcomers and use sway/gmiick builds to win easily for quick fame. This is NO different from grinding and certanly there is NO challenge or fun in it. The tiger or phoenix emote that you get eventually is ALL CRAP and NO SKILL, gg - get a life. The HA point system is akin to EXPERIENCE, and NOT SKILL because it shows how many total games you have won. SKILL could be defined as the % of the games that you have won, and will only sart to show after 100 total games.

One day when ANET will introduce the tiered concept in their future games as many other games have done before (just because there is ALL fairness in it), I will come back and laugh at all of you.
