I get more lockpick drops without the triple drop rate. What is going on? Did they reduce the drop rate instead of increasing it?

done the vaettir HM and rezoned 4 times this morning, 2 lockpicks lol
triple drops is probably about right 0.000001% drop chance x 3 = crap weekend
maybe if they made it x 3000 u may see more than 1 lockpick an hour

in 2 hours of uw i got 8 lockpicks last night so im not complaining either!

Well I got pissed off with Raptors in both Normal and Hard Mode so went to farm Fissure beach HM. No lockpicks but 3 Obby Shards and a max gold r10 15^50 old school Shadow Bow.
So... better than a couple lockpicks I suppose.

Playing hard mode without trying to farm something, my drops are now three times the nothing they were before. I guess you really have to be a highly specialized lockpick farmer to notice a difference.

While farming on Thurs I got 2 lockpicks since they have tripled the drop rate ive got none.

what a bad weekend event! only had 1 lockpick drop (probably would have got without the so called x3).
Ive also noticed that in the past day or so, nearly every one of my lockpicks breaks. I had like 4/5 in a row break on me on the first time. I used to open a few chests before breaking my lockpicks.

Mm Opened 100picks now sofar in hardmode with 28% retain rate.
Retained 36 times so i opened 136 chests
got
13 Elite tomes
8 Normal tomes
41 purples and 72 golds :P and Most important 5k Unlucky and 18k Lucky points. tomorrow another 100picks i guess

I personally see no increase in the drop rate, the double poitns for unluckyx/lucky work, but the drop rate for picks sucks as if it wouldn't work correctly.
There you have now really the feeling, that alot more picks dropped, before the event started, than now while the event is running...
Before the event, I farmed frost wurms in hardmode for example and every 5th run statistically or so a pick dropped for me for sure. Now I do countless of runs still in HM and get NO SINGLE pick.
Thats just weird, as if really the rate got decreased instead of increased oO
I hoped really for a real difference in droppign picks to see and feel, but it doesn't happen and this lets this event suck for me and I'm sure for many other people it still sucks alot too, people which farm countless runs even at much better farm spots *cough* raptors, those poor ones *cough* and still get after x runs even there no single pick, makes this whole event suspicious, as if it would be a little bugged und not working correctly

Done some farming and no Lockpicks yet during this event. Tried with Hench/Heros and Solo, Nothing.
I did however get 3 Lockpicks a few hours before it started from One area with a team of Hench/Heros. Weird...
So i can't see any increase in the drops, more like a messed up drop rate.

We did Tombs last night and we had 10 lockpicks drop for our party. It's definitely noticeable in a full group, as I normally see 3-4 in a Tombs session.
What was noticeable different, however, were the gold drops....we only had 1 gold drop the entire run, when we usually get around 6-7. I wonder if they coded it to where if a gold normally drops, a lockpick does instead...

I am having more luck away from the Over farmed raptors, 2 Olafstead ELE runs 4 picks, 2 Vaettier run 3 picks a few places in Factions= another 4 picks, less than 2 hours=11 picks compared to yesterdays 4 hours of Over farmed raptors to get 2 pick.

The reason not as many Lockpicks are dropping as other event items is because Lockpicks aren't exempt from loot scaling, while event items like cupcakes or clovers are.

Well, for me, zero, nada, nothing until now, about 3 hours, 2 spots, where I normally get 1 per hour if I really try... Don't tell me its just bad luck lol, events like this are supposed to please everyone, and prevent bad luck. To equal my normal score I should find 6 lockpicks in the next 3 hours, and to improve it... Well, I suppose its a waste of time, sigh.

Has anyone noticed a higher gold item droprate? Since the weekend started I've been VwK farming smites in NM and now average 1-3 golds *per run*. Usually it's no more than 1 every 2 or 3 runs.

So I'm seriously the only one noticing a drastic increase in drops? Fronis' Lair normal mode, 25 runs this evening, averaging a pick a run, 51% retention on the chest every time. I had 4 picks, now have 14. Not to mention 1 white dye, 1 black, 1 minor vig, 1 sup vig (box loot,) and 8 aged ales. Why isn't everyone in Gunnar's Hold? Just curious.
