aNet restored his account but said they can do nothing about the lost chars and that they don't care...
My suggestion is that Guild Wars PvE chars should be protected against that kind of intentional deletion.
I have a few variants of this, so I'd appreciate your oppinions on which one is the best in your oppinion (notes on postponement time also appreciated):
- every PvE character's deletion postponed for 7 days (to restore control over the account in case of hacker's activities)
- every lvl20 PvE character's deletion postponed for 7 days
- every 500 hrs+ played PvE character's deletion postponed for 7 days
- first 5 PvE characters' deletion postponed for 7 days
The change would not apply to PvP characters for obvious reasons.
It shouldn't be much of a problem for aNet to introduce that kind of protection...
