Igorway!
Super Igor
Basically, a Monkway build designed for general PvE to give monks some love and abuse those good smiteing skills like RoD. Monks are also very easy to get compared to paras and necs, though no way I am saying it is better then those. ^^
The build originated from "Post Your Excelent Hero Builds Here" thread, being just a sujjestion first and then people seemed to like it! So I decided to post it on a thread for you guys to check and give some ideas on improving it.
~THE ORIGINAL BUILD~
[build prof=Mo/Rt smiting=11+1+1 div=10+1 chan=10 ][defender's zeal][reversal of damage][smite condition][ancestor's rage][splinter weapon][smiter's boon][castigation signet][death pact signet][/build][build prof=Mo/Rt heal=11+1+1 smiting=10+1 div=10+1][word of healing][cure hex][smite condition][signet of rejuvenation][divine intervention][judge's insight][castigation signet][death pact signet][/build][build prof=Mo/N smiting=11+1+1 curs=10 div=10+1][defender's zeal][reversal of damage][smite condition][mark of pain][barbs][smiter's boon][castigation signet][Rip enchantment][/build]
Mobs are killed with a lot of smiting hate and their own damage being reversed at themselves, as the damage done by most foes on HM pve is quite high, RoD should be at it best. The concept also exploits the oftenly applied conditions to deal aoe holy damaghe on their removal. Direct damage and very good net energy gain is from castigation signet which the build abuses primerely.
It is advised you take a physical character with [save yourselves] to add some resilience to your squishie team.
~CURRENT SETUP~
[build prof=Mo/Rt smiting=11+1+1 div=10+1 chan=10 ][weapon of fury][reversal of damage][smite condition][smite hex][ancestor's rage][smiter's boon][castigation signet][death pact signet][/build][build prof=Mo/Rt heal=11+1+1 smiting=10+1 div=10+1][word of healing][patient spirit][smite condition][signet of rejuvenation][divine intervention][judge's insight][castigation signet][death pact signet][/build][build prof=Mo/N smiting=11+1+1 curs=10 div=10+1][corrupt enchantment][reversal of damage][smite condition][smite hex][barbs][smiter's boon][castigation signet][enfeebling blood][/build]

Everyone wants to make their own -way's nowadays...
Looks like a severe lack of general damage... And why in the world would you need defender's zeal on a character which skillbar is NOT energy heavy in the least, even for a hero?
The idea's cool, but it's too conditional. No pun intended, but... if there's an area with little/no conditions, there goes half of your AoE damage. I mean... i guess it could just barely work, that's for sure, i just know that for a fact this idea could never outclass 3 necros, and even your standard monk/nuker/support hero setup... props for the original idea though, i guess...

1. No need for 3 smite conditions. change one to Smite Hex, so you have 2 remove conditions and 2 remove hexes.
2. For the healing monk, I suggest not using Death Pact Signet, as if the one that guy rezes dies, then your only healer is dead. Not that good of an idea as that is the only rit skill being used.*and I know people will disagree with me on that*
3. Don't think this build will work with just heroes in general, might want to post a pic showing the vanquish of an area with the times and dp/morale of the heroes. And of course, just those 3 heroes. *and not some super easy vanquish area*

You mean just those heroes...no hecnhies in a "hard" 8 man area? Which one?
Yeah [smite hex] is good.
Yeah [smite hex] is good.

i highly doubt it will last in HM.

Give the Mo/N Enfeebling Blood.

Yeah, thought of that will update the bars.

Sorry, the "Igorway" is my fault. :P

Maybe if you changed up the WoH from a hybrid smiter to a hybrid protter.
I believe the original post featured the monk being /w and using 100 blades with some smiting support-don't recall seeing SY! on it.

The main reason I like this build is because a new character can easily get the heroes and the skills. There was a gap for a team build for NM for newer characters and this is it. I do not think it will stand up to HM or vanquishing though. You can get the 3 heroes early on in Nightfall and EotN, and the skills are also reasonable easy to get early in the campaigns (I hope I did not check). This makes it a viable team build to run the campaigns in Normal Mode. Compared to the other ~Ways you need to either finish the campaigns or be deep into them to get the heroes and the skills.

Seconded, drop smite condition or castigation signet (elite Emanagement + castigation signet means that either it's overkill, or your elite suck. As DZ is ok, it's overkill.)
Fuzzy Taco
3 monk team needs far more Prot Spirit on the standard build, considering the player running SY! isn't standard.

Tylaway sounds better, rename it that and i'll start advertising it for you.

Drop MoP - it's a good skill, but heroes are so wasteful with it. They'll rarely ever use it on a good target.
Judge's Intervention over Divine Intervention - you're spec'd into smiting so might as well. I actually wouldn't use either though. Since that monk is spec'd into healing, I'd give it Patient Spirit to avoid needed those "Intervention" skills in the first place.
I'd drop Rip Enchantment but that's just my preference - some of the enchants mobs use are rarely ever worth disenchanting. Unless you're doing Slaver's where you gotta deal with infinite-energy prot monks...
As some already said, add Enfeebling Blood.

An "SY" para can make bad things look good.....whether a hero-team build works or not can depend very heavily on the human player, their class and skill, etc.

I am going to create a new account in this forum and call myself "Hall", post a team build and call it "Hallway".
Or maybe call myself "NO", then call the build "NOWAY!"
Edit: I will test it in HM after I get off work.

When people comment or make suggestions to keep this in mind. Yeah, thats pretty much sais the strong point of the build, and it works on HM, pretty well i would say, tbh, I was surprised after aggroing two mobs at once and surviveing it. Never the less, need to update.
And be more ocnstructive guys, I know Igorway sounds strange.

Depending on how you're pumping out SY!, [weapon of fury] might be better replaced with something else.
I do like the idea of [corrupt enchantment] though.

Squishy ftw
In PvE I want to blow stuff up. This build doesn't blows much up.
There's AR and barbs and..well..that's it ?
So you rely on the human player + 4 silly hench to do the damage ?
and the occasional damage from the smites..
When I look at this all I see are 3 wasted hero slots.

well, I play sin, that means [Weapon of Fury] is quite good for me to help out with [save yourselves] It should help paras and wars too.
What do you think of [weapon of quickening] though, to make the build more caster friendly and speed up the recharges?

IF [weapon of fury] isnt need, I would probably swap [Smite condition] for [splinter weapon] and the elite for [Defenders zeal] or [Signet of judgment] , or [weapon of quickening] like you said. Maybe DZ would allow you to bring [strength of honor] instead of [castigation signet]
[barbs] might be swapped out for [mark of pain], depending on how fast things are dying.
Just some thoughts for now, might come up with more later.

I tried this build, with some modifications, and I must say it works surprisingly well. I actually preferred running this over Sabway. Little more fun, and if used correctly very fast.
DarkSpirit
Igor, good attempt but the build is not as strong as sabway in HM
1) Monks run out of energy easily and although castigation signet helps, it has a long recharge of 15s.
2) No minions for damage mitigation and also dishing out damage
3) Not enough damage
4) Pure Healing is not enough to do well in HM. You need some protection spells like PS and Aegis.
But I didnt use SY and my character only wands so that I can watch how they perform during battle. Yes I know, I am overly critical.
For what it is worth, it does better than it looks. Maybe if the character brings SY (I know, you suggested that) and [[Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom] the build would perform much better. But saying that the character needs SY before it would work well, is an acceptable limitation.

I think we need to redefine what is the role of each hero, because JI on the second hero seems misplaced in a healer build.
If you are to run this with physicals (which you obviously are, seeing as you take JI, barbs, ancestor's and weapon of fury), i'd suggest taking SoH (on the first hero).
[build prof=Mo/Rt smiting=12+1+1 div=8+1 chan=10 ][Offering of Spirit][bloodsong][smite condition][Splinter weapon][ancestor's rage][Strength of honor][castigation signet][flesh of my flesh][/build]
note that it is better on a rit.
[build prof=Mo/Rt smiting=12+1 div=12+1+1][Signet of Judgment][Reversal of damage][smite condition][smite hex][divine intervention][smiter's boon][castigation signet][death pact signet][/build]
support/damage
[build prof=Mo/N smiting=11+1+1 curs=10 div=10+1][corrupt enchantment][reversal of damage][smite condition][smite hex][barbs][smiter's boon][castigation signet][enfeebling blood][/build]
Haven't touch this one
Smiting is OK, it's just that it's either better on a x/Mo when playing multiple smiters

Yes, true, [save yourselves] I strongly suggest to take as it is one of the most crucial parts os the whole build, wilst, its current setup has certain skills to favor it. Also thanks for [ebon battle standard of honor] suggestion, it showld help greatly. Will try to update again soon. Belonah15
People do realise that getting SY! means having Factions campaign, then getting 2 thirds down the campaign, then farming Faction points to get more than 3 seconds use.
Therefore making SY! the cornerstone of the build, only detracts from the build. What is the point then of using the easily available monks, if you can just bite the bullet and get far enough in Nightfall and EotN to get the heroes needed for Sabway? I see people pushing this build into HM territory, therefore pushing it out of the scope and reach of people where it would have been most useful. Rather get this build to stand on its own, than trying to be a Sabway wannabe. DarkSpirit

Rather get this build to stand on its own, than trying to be a Sabway wannabe. Because NM is easier. Heroes didnt even exist before NF and you have to wonder how we got through 2 campaigns with just henchies most of the time. If some area is easy in PvE then the build quality matters alot less and people dont have to worry about build synergy if even a 10 year old can come up with a build to clear such areas. You may even clear it with mere henchies. The point of this thread becomes moot. Even Sabway has its limitations and can't be used in areas without corpses or have high AoE holy damage. There are also other limitations with sabway. I dont see why we should stop innovating builds for HM, just because sabway already exists. Mickey
You do realize that your first "original build" is copy pasted from a thread I made. Whatever.
This could really do better with some curses, although if your trying to stick to the only monk standard, one of those bars might do well from some TA Critical Pressure "Lameway" builds. Super Igor

Yes, proph campaign and you need r1 for SY to be effective. Rly. You don't need more than 3 seconds, bad people do.
