NCsoft Europe at the UK Games Expo

Hi all.

I am Martin, the European Community Team Lead for Guild Wars, and I would like to bring something to your attention

As part of our presence at this year's UK Games Expo (31/5-1/6 in Birmingham, UK), NCsoft Europe is proud to feature the team from the Draw the World Together charity project (www.drawtheworldtogether.com). Since 2005 DTWT has been exciting the imagination of gamers all over Europe by sketching their characters in exchange for charity donations to EveryChild (www.everychild.org.uk). At UK Games Expo you'll get the chance to have your character sketched while donating to a worthy cause!

Considering that the UK Games Expo will feature a lot of fantasy gaming, what better place than here to get your Guild Wars character sketched? Our team of artists will happily sketch your Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall or GWEN character - or indeed any of the game's signature characters too.

All you need to do is provide some reference material (either printed, or in screenshot form that we can transfer to a PC) and we'll do the rest. All we ask is that you donate £15 to EveryChild and you'll walk away with a unique A4 pencil sketch. Remember, every single penny you donate goes to the charity so you can rest easy knowing your money is going to a good cause.

Neat product and great charity. Thanks for the info Martin, and Kudos to A-Net/NCSoft for providing the opportunity for the charitable contributions. I would love to have a sketch done.

I want my Ranger sketched!

I thoroughly recommend getting your character done if you can, I got mine (as you can see on the Flickr site) earlier this year, and even though their schedule was full, they put my gf and I (Merodda Blake) down on the list and posted the drawings to us, we now have the originals framed and hanging on the wall.

Definitely worth it, you get an awesome pic and all the money goes to charity, do it NAOW

Guess I should be thankful, considering I have been playing Rock Band for a solid 6 months....
It would be nice to have something cool to remember my GW character by, so that he won't be lost forever when the servers shut down.

It's a lovely charity thought, but the art seems to be a bit disappointing. If I were in the UK you could have my 15pounds and skip the art...

Just want to say thanks to NC Soft for sorting out the art/charity event, I almost forgot to take pics with me (not that you need them) and artist did a fantastic job, absolutely stunning.

It was good to see so many folks buying GW as well.

Is there going to be any GW2 info?

Did not ask as it was probably the most asked question. When 'they' are ready to release information they will, as things can change whilst they are developing/testing what they want to do with GW2.

Best thing is to enjoy GW and be prepared when they release GW2 information which is when they are ready to do so
