Troubles with my new "unique" card....

19th May I got Eye of the north for my birthday. I removed the Plasic from it's box and opend it. The first thing I saw was the unique card that was facing the wrong way, the black strip that needs to be scratched away was allready gone. I had to try it imediatelly, I filled the code in on my allready existing account and it didn't work it allready had been used.(The plasic wrapper looked untouched!!) I asked the bill from my friend whoom I got it from. And no she doen'st play guild wars. We went back to the store and they gave us a phone number. We called that number. They said we had to mail. I would like to know if somebody els have experience with this. What do I need to do to get my expansion, without to many trouble.

Yeeeah.... your best bet is to try and return it, and get a box that hasn't been tampered with.

Remember, always pick the sealed boxes, kids!

It was sealed, and the store wouldn't return it

Open the shrink-wrapping at the bottom using a sharp kinfe. Remove contents. Use contents. Replace used contents. Carefully reseal the shrink-wrap using glue or such. Return.

Most people won't check the bottom for tampering, the above may have happened.

No, I do not do this myself, never have. I read about this method when an article popped up a while ago about a bargin-bin Batman cartoon DVD turned out to have highly adult, gay content instead of kiddie's Batman.

Edit: If it was completly sealed, it may have been tampered with at packaging. Still, follow the advice you've been given.

But no experience with refund or something? I would like the play Eye of the North really bad + I would love to see that person who stole the code banned or something :P

I've never needed to get a refund as these occurences are rare (I get nice sealed boxes).

The only other thing I could suggest is buying it through the ingame store, however that has many other problems.

Your best bet is to go to support and explain what happened. There's nothing anyone here can do for you except tell you the same thing.
