First let me say that I seldom pug, I dont like to play with people (other than guildies) because they have a tendancy to do stupid crap. Like agro everything and then blame the monk when we die. No to my point (sorta). I used UB to do Bear Club for Women. While it worked well enough, I noticed a problem with it. No, healing. I dont want some major healing ability, just enough to keep me going. I know the arguement of it being overpowered as it stands now. So heres my idea

One reason I thought of this is Bears, in most myths were also healers,caregivers. Creatures of sacrifice. The Norse...Norn, seem to see them as great spirits of protection. If not a healing maybe a prot spirit kind of thing that converts damage.

The real problem is people are not happy about the things that are already good. They always want something more, something to make them more powerful. UB, Raven, and Volfen blessing all lack heals. ANet probably did that for a reason, and were right in makinig them lack self-heals. It's not that hard to bring a prot monk or two to keep you alive. You don't lose out on the damage as you have 6 UB's running around hitting things constantly.
If you want them to be more like healers, maybe we should just make Ursan pure healing, since they are healers in myths.
Simple statement, no it does not need a self heal. Just because you think ANet will let GW1 slip into "nothingness" does not mean we should just make everything imba, or more so then it already is. Sorry but we do not need to make this game any easier then it already is.

UB has 1 weekness (not counting the possibility of the player playing it) : Lack of healing. Thought when you think about it... The skill the OP propose is insignificant anyway, so they could add it for RP value and UB wouldn't get stronger.

so I took a pet, put my points into crit, added UB and fought the freaking bear. Also I have tried UB twice, with pugs, both times I died. One, the monk took smiting skills (making him useless) the second things just went bad, but being able to self heal abit might have helped. I have yet to see that Ursan was overpowered as I have used it once for the quest, and now a total of 3 times, 2 to pug and once for my bear club quest. So sorry if my inexperience makes me a retard. I stated my reason and what brought it up. but it seems that certain asshats here, see a buff for ursan and get their manjina in a ruffle. I wasnt trolling, I simple thought it was a decent idea. I know from reading (you seem to be able to do that) that in most myths Bear has a healing aspect. Why wasnt it touched in GW? (ok i am trolling a bit now)

Whether you think we're flaming or not (though obviously I'm only 12 so what do I know right?), the fact remains that UB is NOT meant to give you a full skill bar that you COULD come up with yourself. Yunno, a skill bar that does have self healing 
Forget UB and go back to the drawing board if you want to pick and choose your skill set, it's more fun that way, trust me.

While the concept of the addition fits into the mold of what could be a good skill, it doesnt stand a chance in this ursan raged community. Until they reword things so that this skill isnt overpowered, this community/gw as a whole will disagree with just about anything suggested outside of drawing and quartering the skill

UB is not meant to give you a one-click solo build. That's not how it's meant to work, so expecting anybody to be taken seriously when they expect solo builds to be handed to them that easily is a little...presumptuous. It ain't gonna happen.
UB is not a solo skill set, end of discussion. Want a solo build with self healing? There are tons out there. Asking for UB to give you that with just the press of a key? A bit silly.

Offense:
- spammable, unblockable, armor ignoring damage (Ursan Strike)
- low recharge AoE damage (Ursan Rage)
- party-wide damage buffing (Ursan Roar)
Defense:
- low recharge AoE knockdown provides both AoE interrupts and temporary disabling of all affected foes (Ursan Rage)
- AoE Weakness decreases enemy auto-attack damage, which especially in HM, can add up quickly (Ursan Roar)
This is on top of the health and armor bonuses, of course.
So there really isn't a problem by not having a self-heal. Ursan is already a powerhouse combining offense and defense. Throw a few Ursans into a party, and the only thing really left to worry about is healing. That's already pushing it, in what is designed to be a team game - no build is supposed to be an island.

Dynos have the right to use Twisting Jaws, players have the right to use Ursan Strike.
Modniir have the right to use Trample, players have the right to use Ursan Rage.
All enemy in high end areas have a higher level, higher armor rating and higher health Ursan Blessing evens it up.
It's just that the AI kind of sucks in PvE so Ursan prevails
